For a small town museum this place is pretty good. Kids love it in there and they do little events at half terms etc. Cafe is always good. Staff are helpful and Jonathan (pictured) in particular helped our girls research for their Brownies history badge. What a great guy.Small museum so don't expect natural history size but a lovely local gem. This place has always welcomed groups of mums with pushchairs and toddlers. It has babychabginv facilities and wheelchair accessible toilets.

Always a great place to visit. All the exhibits are interesting and inform about the local area.During term time there are usually 'treasure hunts' that are good for the children.During the holidays they run craft, Lego, clay and story sessions that are very popular. (Use the website to book before they fill up.)

As a Swindon childminder we absolutely love this place. We hadn?t been for a while and decided to visit today as it?s so cold! We had 8 children between the ages of 2&4 years. They all absolutely LOVED exploring the museum! The staff ( as always!) were so welcoming and friendly and we were very proud to have comments on how well behaved and well mannered the children were. Thank you as always for welcoming us and we truly love this little gem of a museum ??

Very welcoming to young children, there's always an option of sheets in clipboards for them to take and search for things. My children love finding cuddly rats and hiding them, colouring upstairs, using the microscope and playing hook a duck. Café good for children too.

Very cute place to take your kids. They have activity packs and a cafe. They often have special events on. It's very small but you make what you will of it. For example, they have lots of boxes under the displays where kids can touch and feel things. They even have smelling box. The staff are volunteers but polite enough. The food in the cafe is pretty good.

Great place to explore Wantage history and to have refreshments while you are there. Plus lots of goodies to buy and local information available too. Great community space.

Great cappacino and slice of homemade tiffin which was a really nice ending to a long walk over the ridgeway and through the local villages. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

It's a really great compact museum with a huge range of exhibits. Where else would you be able to see an F1 exhibit through a tableau about the Saxons? There's always free trail sheets for various ages of children and information boards they can read as well as adults and interactive exhibits. Also the cafe and shop are really nice.

Great, small museum, but with a lot of information related to the area, it's social and industrial identity through the years. Plus a great café for lunch. It's a free entry museum, but you feel happy to leave a donation as it deserves support for the great collections on display.

Great little museum! Today was a special workshop day with activities for children. Our 6 year old loved it. Lots of craft activities and an excellent storyteller. 90 minutes was time and space for the adults to explore some of the rest.
