Great cafe and museum with lots to see. Our toddlers really enjoyed walking around and exploring. Shame the trains weren't working and my falafel panini was a bit dry but otherwise very tasty

A small museum but full of local things, everything explained. Mostly on one level with a wheelchair lift to get disabled people into the halls, and also a nice cafe for tea and cake or hot food.
Well worth going if you join them (£10 per family) you get emails about upcoming talks and trips, etc.

Really interesting small museum. Well laid out, and very engaging. The town itself has a fascinating history, and this is extremely well charted by the curators, who fortunately have sourced lots of fascinating exhibits.Well worth a visit, and when you've finished, you can enjoy hot or cold drinks and a snack in the cafe...
