This is a really nice pub with extremely kind owners! We walked down from a walk along the Ridgeway and were so pleased we did. It was great to hear the owners' plans for the summer and we will absolutely be returning. They're showing the Six Nations at the moment and have a great build your own burger on the menu! Visit!

I visited the Blowing Stone Inn as part of a large group. The location is very pleasant. We had supplied our menu choices in advance of our visit. The pub was understaffed and we waited one hour forty minutes for the main courses to arrive. The food was OK when it arrived. The experience was not a good one. I couldn't recommend this venue for large groups.

We have found this little gem and as always Becky and Russ give such a warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble, food is great and service friendly and attentive. It's become a firm favourite very quickly and would recommend to anyone looking for food, drinks and a lovely country venue.

This lovely hidden jem is a must to visit. Went for works Christmas meal and found it very welcoming , cosy, with a great atmosphere. Food was excellent, and served with a smile. You can either eat in the bar or in the beautiful conservatory area. Will be back!.

Have been going to The Blowing Stone for a couple of Years, but Sunday was the first time under the new Management of RussellWe called in on spec without a booking, and ended up having an excellent meal; we started with sharing a baked camerbert that was gorgeously gooey, and then followed by Pork Belly and Beef - both of which had lots of meat, a delicious Yorshire Pudding and gravy - and then we shared a large portioned sticky toffee pudding and custard for dessert.Added to that was a G&T, a very well kept pint of Abingdon Bridge and a very reasonably priced Malbec and the whole meal came to just over £60 which I thought was excellent value. If you have never been it is definitely worth a visit, and with an engaging and personable team we will be back again very soon.Food & drinks: They keep an excellent pint of Abingdon Bridge!

We visited the Blowing Stone for a meal last night & thoroughly enjoyed it.The atmosphere was welcoming, both for people, and dogs. The chips were chunky & crispy, portions were just the right size, Scampi, Fish, & steak cooked just to order. The garden out the back was sheltered, private, neat & adorned with colourful lights. The village location was beautiful & peaceful. We will definitely be visiting again.

We went there for the Sunday Roast, booking a table for 11. The location is very nice, ideal for a good 2 hours rest on a walking day. The children enjoied the garden and we had a ber wormhole fir ordering the food. Unfortunately the pub was strongly understaffed that day. We wait for a long time and, most of all, most of the food was finished, so we need were asked to change our order after 30 mins waiting... The staff was very nice with us and reduced the final bill, but the experience ^not that good. Maybe we will give it a second chance.

A lovely pub find while cycling around the vale of the white horse. The lunch was scrumptious and I cannot fault it. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the halloumi burger was nom nom! To top it off, we shared an indulgent sticky toffee pudding.. I can say that we cleaned the plates! Beyond the food, the atmosphere was cosy, friendly and being dog owners we were happy to see that dogs are welcome too! We will be back, next time with our furry friend. For anyone cycling in the area, this is the perfect stop!
