You know what you get when visiting Costa Coffee. This branch in Wantage is centrally located and comfortably furnished. Their menu is standard café and well known for regular visitors. The staff here were friendly and efficient.

10 minutes wait for a bland rushed made hot chocolate...
And missed out the cream and marshmallows.....3 very unhappy looking staff....
Will never go here again...

I refuse to use this place as the owners obviously have no pride in the look of the place. Rubbish piled up near the entrance. I took the photo on a good day, usually it?s much worse than this. How do the
customers not consider this an eyesore, unbelievable.

Upon arrival, we picked up our bacon rolls and joined the queue, waiting for 10 minutes only to hear, *?We?ve run out of milk.?* Just as we were about to pay, the milk delivery arrived, but we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our coffees. Eager to enjoy our food while it was still warm, we decided to eat at a table that was dirty and required cleaning before we could sit.
Despite finishing our bacon rolls, there was still no sign of our coffees. To our frustration, customers who had come in after us were already served. When I approached the counter to ask about our order, the young, overwhelmed staff member couldn?t provide an answer. It took another 20 minutes before we finally received our coffees, only to find the milk was scalding hot and the coffee tasted burnt. At that point, we didn?t bother returning to the queue to ask for a replacement, as we had already wasted enough time and decided to leave.
The disorganisation was evident, especially on such an important day as Remembrance Sunday. Costa?s staff should have anticipated the increased number of customers. This was the longest wait I?ve ever experienced for just two bacon rolls and two coffees. The entire experience was chaotic and disappointing.

Unfortunately didn't go in.. The bags of rubbish and the bins out front of shop alongside the dirty windows., put me off going

Awful Costa, dirty and untidy. Take away cups only, no hazel or maple syrup, be better off closing.

Visted 21/8 around 11, long clue 1 person serving. Gave up went to a local cafe round the corner. I would do the same if I visited daytime.

So so busy. Queue was to the door and it seemed that every order came out wrong. So many people were waiting for their orders ? which then needed remaking, as drinks were incorrect. Coffee was being made in a rushed fashion as well as barista having to man the til.. complete orders were not done in one go- one drink made and called out, then food, then another drink- made our group of 7 wait for ages and none of us had our food or drink at the same time. Dirty floors, dirty tables, barista was bleeding from a cut on his knuckle, when I mentioned it to him he just wiped the blood off and stuck a sticker (not a plaster) on it and continued to work- not a handwash in sight.
I feel very sorry for the staff that were on yesterday (25.7.24) they were very under the pump and getting everything wrong. Not sure there was a manager or guidance available but it wasn?t a good experience at all. No customer service and just a filthy, stressed busy environment.
Had never liked the street frontage with its bin bags and rubbish piled high, just not welcoming or appealing, and I?ve never had a decent coffee here / but thought let?s try again- Alas, nope- Won?t be coming back.
