When arranging the appointment no mention was made of a £50 charge for the contact lens check, neither verbally or in writing. It was only raised after the consultation. When arranging the appointment, I made it clear to a member of staff that I needed a new batch of lenses to be with me by the end of March and was told that would be "no problem" if I signed up for the CL scheme following the check up. I was advised during the check up that no lenses would be issued to me until I had paid 3 D/D payments, meaning no lenses until May, leaving me without lenses for a month. I think it perfectly reasonable to have expected the terms & conditions of the Boots CL scheme to have been properly communicated to a prospective new customer in advance. The manager in store attempted to explain, but couldn't give a proper apology. In the end he clearly stated I did not have to pay the £50 consultation fee, and I advised that I didn't want to become a Boots Opticians customer. In summary, a completely unsatisfactory experience.

If I could do ? ? I would as the optician was rude obnoxious and arrogant which is a on going thing in this store which you have done nothing about !! So you do not care about your customers opinions at all reading what they have wrote. I have told a few people about the way I was treated and they are as disgusted as I am

The store has been expanded and looks really nice. Lots of glasses to choose from. The optician is really thorough and knowledgeable and I felt I was understood and put at ease. The staff were polite and helpful and found me a great frame I actually like. My new glasses work fine and my headaches have gone, thank you so much !

This was my first time going to an opticians and looking for glasses frames. The manager and practice director were both so shockingly rude to me that I have had to report them. Nobody has ever spoken to me the way they both spoke to me - let alone people in management roles.

Compared to specsavers this is a poor experience, but in the bigger picture staff are usually friendly and provide a good service. A good optitions that provides a service to the people of wantage
