I had some lovely food here this evening! It was an anniversary and the restaurants vibe fit the bill perfectly. The staff were excellent and service was much faster than I expected for how beautifully presented the dishes came. 10/10 would recommend for an anniversary or family dinner

What a properly amazing restaurant! Everything about it is sublime. The staff are wonderfully attentive and kind, the restaurant is quirky and comfy, and the food is truly out of this world - outstandingly fresh, flavourful, beautifully presented. Brilliant restaurant, a must visit if you are in the area. We had the cold sharing platter, it was delicious with excellent quality shellfish. Great value too.Home made desert made a great end to our meal. Also very good with allergies, I have a few pesky ones!
The ever so slightly over the top quirky ground floor bar is jolly well stocked, serving classy Martini cocktails, Bombardier ale, lagers, affordable decent wines and artisan gins. The bar leads either up to the first floor dining rooms or down to the trendy ‘Shoreditch’ bare brick cellar lounge bar.
The Grand Dining Room of Georgian proportion seats about forty people, the smaller room is adjacent; perfect for gatherings of about a dozen. Lunch and dinner menus focus on the freshest British shellfish landed from around our shores from Cornwall to the Shetlands and are presented in beautiful steaming hot copper Cataplana dishes for sharing.
Steaks are all Aberdeen Angus Beef from farms in the borders, again served to share at your table
