Seemed to wait a long time for the meals to be brought over and a bit overpriced.

We visited The Old Post Office as a group of 7 to celebrate a hen do. I had pre-booked the table so we arrived and were seated promptly. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and relatively busy with a good atmosphere.

Ordered chicken and ham hockey puff pastry pie, what come did not look like what I had expected but gave it a try, turned out they decided to change the pastry for pizza dough. Overlooking Wallingford’s market square, the Grade II listed building in St Martin's Street that was once home to the town’s prominent post office, first re-opened its doors as an Oakman Inn in 2009. In addition to bearing the same name, The Old Post Office features many of the original elements, including the Victorian counter, and the traditional red post box situated in our front courtyard.
