While my local Nationwide had a note on the door to say they were closed, a delightful woman at the Wallingford branch served me efficiently and with a welcoming smile, from the second I walked in the door.

They are the only bank remaining in Wallingford. The cashpoint is very helpful as its the only free cash withdrawl point in the town centre. The staff are friendly and the bank is always cozy and formal.

Be carefull going to the wallingford branch.They miss counted my money. all round rude customer service when being delt with. Im very supprised that they only counted my money once with out double checking and as a result they got it wrong. I was forced to tell them the sum was wrong to which i receaved a half hearted sorry. overall a very rude,Unprofessional attitude towards customers.

This branch of NW needs to seriously review what is meant by "customer / member service". Third time in here in as many months , same story each time , one teller on duty moving at glacial pace, a 20 minute queue of customers , but worst of all - other NW staff desperately "tying to look busy" and avoiding eye contact with the 8-10 queue of people . It's the deliberately ignoring customers that gives away the underlying attitude . If you are not going to react to help customers , then maybe lets have three more Automatic Teller machines and dispense with people altogether . Customers are not an inconvenience to be ignored , they are who you are there to help and who pay your wages - if that's an issue maybe find another job ? I'm sure some Media Manager will be along to apologise that "my visit was not up to expections" , as they have with all the other upset customer reviews - all very "nice" by seriously , you need to have a word with your staff and make some changes, or frankly close this place . Mutual Respect includes your customers ...Finally is it all NW , no, just Wallingford Branch in my experience .

In my experience using this bank the customer service is terrible. They can make the simple things extremely hard and annoying. Come up with some pathetic reasons why they cannot help you cause you nothing but stress. All staff members look down at you and think they are something special. Paying in money is also difficult in this bank for example you have some loose change say some pound coins what you would like to pay into the bank. They will not take them unless you put them into a money bag making a scene and trying to make you look stupid in front of other customers. If you have an account with Nationwide my advice would be to switch.
