Loved the menu choices. It was a very busy day when we went there, so choice available was difficult - it was the opera festival. Great to see so many people enjoying the space!Luckily we wanted the quiche that we had before. It was delicious with new potatoes and salad!

Lovely little tea shop for a cream tea. Although a little expensive for a cream tea £7.50?.the large scone with icing sugar and good quality jam are delicious. I will be back for lunch.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available

Lovely food. Cafe was a bit like a school canteen. Staff friendly and efficient. Prices reasonable. Place was plagued by wasps which was sad.

Food had run out, before 1pm. June 2nd ended up with scone or gluten free cake, nothing protein left. Garden pretty good plants.

Stopped off here for a mid morning coffee and a slice of cake with some friends. It is a large building close to the gardens (which we didn?t go into). Coffee was good and cakes had a real home made taste - really lovely. Well worth popping in.

Lovely atmosphere. Great scones and the countryside museum and church adjacent are well worth a visit. The gentleman curating the museum was very knowledgeable and happy to give the history of the exhibits. All well worth a visit.

The cafe?s situated in the car park area of Waterperry Gardens and looks like a school cafeteria. However, there?s also plenty of outside seating, either on the patio area or lawn at the rear (where you can also picnic). To be honest, I was surprised at the range of hot and cold food available as well as cakes/scones etc. Queueing to be served was a bit chaotic - there appeared to be a queue for hot food, another for drinks/cake/scones and then another for the tills. However, although it busy when we visited it all seemed to work smoothly and prices in my opinion were reasonable. All things considered, staff were surprisingly cheerful. A modern toilet block is located in the car park and the Rural Life museum and extensive plant sales area are free to access if you don?t want to enter the actual gardens (although they are worth seeing). The cafe was surprisingly busy considering its rural location and guess most customers are from the surrounding area or nearby Oxford?

There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (both in the sun and shade), and a large car park. We had tea and cake, which was very nice, it's not cheap, but not many places are now.

The selection of food is great in this restaurant. I would have given 5 stars were it not for the seemingly disorganised serving and subsequent queue length. It was however worth waiting a little longer than I'd normally wish as the staff were friendly and doing their best and the food was great!

A wealth of areas to explore apart from the formal gardens aspect. Realistically priced plants and very helpful staff - total recommendation for a visit.
