Location is great for an overnight stay in Oxford, wi-do was fast and was able to watch Netflix in the room. However shower didn?t work and heating was on full until about 1am so we were really hot. Service could have been a little more friendly. Overall it was okay.

This small hotel offers a warm welcome, a comfortable stay and a good breakfast. Highly recommended.

I didn't stay in a room but I did get to eat THE BEST BREAKFAST IN OXFORD. Don't even bother to try to find better. You won't as I've tried everywhere...almost.My sausages were amazing. No way they were cheap ones. Very filling too.The bacon was out there...again only top quality. The beans were HEINZ..AT LAST!The egg was cooked to perfection.Pot of coffee and toast.Just over £7. Are you serious? Yes!I'll be back many many times.

I was here for the Oxford Half. Such a great experience. Good breakfast, fantastic service, lovely room. I heard no noise outside even though they are doing some works outside - so don?t worry about that. Definitely going to be a place I?ll be back again! Excellent!

My husband has slept almost every where as in the army 25 years. He stated he slept on the floor in the jungle many times but felt he had more bugs crawling over him in half an hour and decided couldn?t stay in this room. Room smelt damp and we ended up having to leave a lottle after midnight after just spending an Hour trying to sleep there.Vert out dated, damp and overpriced for what it is . Its basically a hostel! Not a hotel!

Welcoming, affordable and great location, steps from the train station and from Osney Island. Rooms are clean and functional. Excellent value for money.

This hotel self rates as 2 stars - room was small, no bath, small sink, desk, only stool no chair. Nothing else. Shared bath. If you are on tight budget & this is what you want, then it?s ok. Conveniently located by train station. Negatives: internet was unacceptably slow. Carpets in common areas dirty and need a deep clean. A paint job would make common areas more presentable. Stairs extremely narrow and steep. Continental breakfast included; staff friendly, helpful except for one grumpy individual.

Booked on expedia Didn?t realize washroom was share Cost us 30 quid more for a private- We should of ran ! 135 quid for an unclean and outdated place-mouldy smell, damp sheets ( general dampness everywhere) including bedding- after two hours not being able to sleep as mould and mildew effects me he found bugs under him and we left middle of the night and paid a taxi 80 quid to get back home after realizing their was bugs

My grandparents have been coming here for breakfast on the same day every week for about a year, and are recognised by the staff every time. They apparently even have their own table now! ? Everyone is so friendly and welcoming towards them, they have become well-known regulars! This is their favourite place to visit with the food, service and accommodation all highly commended! ?

I stayed at this hotel for a week several years ago. The hotel personnel is kind and provided a good service. I also made some friends while staying at this hotel. Breakfast was included in the price and the garden is beautiful. The only negative thing about this hotel was its price, which is expensive for a two-star hotel.Rooms: Small and sink inside the roomWalkability: Near the city centre and the train stationFood & drinks: Breakfast included in the price

Very clean, very comfortable, amazing service and superb location! We stayed here for 3 days, had an amazing room and got a great night?s sleep each night. Bathroom amenities are new and really nice, great shower. Each morning we enjoyed the breakfast - everything was wonderful, very tasty and the coffee was tops. Lunch is really wonderful, too. It?s about a 2 to 3 minute walk to the train station, 5 to 8 minutes to the heart of the ?downtown? of Oxford and also since it is not surrounded by the colleges or storefronts, it is so very quiet at night. Also, there is a string of spectacular restaurants and cafes just across the bridge, 2 minute walk, that staying here gives one a real advantage. This is definitely one of the best family owned BNB styled hotels that we have stayed at. Next summer, we will be back and for a longer stay.

Beautiful garden and very friendly staff. It?s such a good location, a 10 minute walk from the centre of Oxford and 2 mins from the train station.Quite basic rooms, but clean and comfy.

On the plus side?very clean rooms with friendly, helpful staff. Close to the city centre (10min walk) and train station (3min walk). Reasonable rates, especially for a city. Tasty breakfast with chance to upgrade to a cooked option. On the minus side?.rather dated, with maintenance needed on the shower(we had to tie the shower head into position as it kept falling down). The extractor fan didn?t work and with no window in the shower it did become a bit treacherous in there! Some of the sockets didn?t work properly and were in odd places so to plug in the kettle it had to go on the floor! There was some work going on outside with the railway bridge which meant the workmen directing pedestrians arrived early about 6am until 10pm and would shout loudly outside our window to their colleagues so I was glad of my trusty earplugs especially as we had a heatwave at the time and needed all the windows open. We did have a fan in the room thankfully. Would I stay there again??.maybe? but not in the heat of the summer without air conditioning.

It's clean and an easy walk to everything. It's an old hotel with narrow staircases and small bedrooms. Make sure you are not in the annex if you want a private bathroom. It was immaculately clean and we felt safe. The area is noisy, especially with the construction going on right outside but got quieter during the evening. It's a good budget hotel, not luxury but it met our needs. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and the canal leading to the Thames is steps away. A continental breakfast is provided and for a small amount you can order a more substantial breakfast. I'd stay again!
