During the past 10 years or so, my Wife and I have popped into Uhuru whenever we visited Oxford. There is a good selection of organic/wholefood products including some that are difficult to find in other similar shops.The shopkeepers are nice, polite, and helpful.

We have shopped here for so many yearsWe have found lots of new products that's have become favourites.The family that run this shop have my respect and admiration for serving the community and with the best products.They make delicious soups in the winter too.It's so hard to stick to your principles in the current climate...

Amazing service. Great selection. I’m a loyal customer of small businesses. This small business is very good and is of great service to the Cowley Road and St Clement residents. Thank you for your business in Oxford we need more stores like this one. Let’s positively support our local organic store.

Opened 47 years ago Uhuru is Oxford's oldest wholefood shop.
We sell a range of wholefoods, vegetarian and vegan staples, vegan wines and beers and biodegradable body care and household cleaning products.
We offer discounts to students when they spend £10 or more and to over 60s when they spend £15 or more.
We are open Monday to Saturday until 5pm.
