It?s good place for a cheapish accommodation near Oxford, buses come frequently
Breakfast was TERRIBLE with not the best cleanliness in breakfast area so I?d skip it
If the door is not open at entrance at night then call the number, there is a 24/7 receptionist but sometimes they?re not at their desks

Awful booking made by work. Smoke or other alarm with low battery beeping constantly outside my door all night. Didn?t manage to sleep until way past 3am despite hitting the hay at 11!!! 4 hours listening to a beep every thirty seconds. I get that this is budget and the bed pillows and bathroom are all budget? but why the alarm???! Torturous.

The staff were nice and effective.
The mugs were not clean
The bathtub was clogged with hair and would not drain. We pulled half a cup of hair just to get a slow drain. There was a black ring around the bath mat.
Only 30 min of free wifi internet, then it 3.5 per day

Best travelodge I've been to. Booked last minute so we could stay in Oxford. Clean room, comfy bed and great staff.

We have stayed here a few times over the last few years when visiting family, but our two most recent trips (August 2025 and November 2024) were very disappointing. The bathroom shower/baths are mouldy and drain very slowly, meaning you stand in grim looking water while trying to get clean. The bedding and towels also were not very clean (stains/holes in the fabric).
The price used to be worth the lower quality stay, but our trip in August was £129 per night and the mouldy bath and towels with holes in them were ridiculous at that price point. Too gross for us to ever stay here again.

Avoid it! No free WiFi, parking fees, noisy location, no any other places to eat around, no complimentary tea coffee, poor hot water shower pressure, poor breakfast (powder scrambling eggs, burnt bacon, no fresh fruits, disgusting fruit salad probably days old, not well cooked mushrooms, no fresh juice) faraway from the civilisation. Avoid it!

I stayed here from February through to the end of June for work, Sunday to Thursday. Traveling/arriving late it was important I felt safe comfortable & was able to rest fully. All of which & more was more provided. Thank you!
I observed all staff work very hard. Great team. I felt completely safe, comfortable & especially welcomed week upon week upon my arrival. Any queries I had were dealt with quickly & efficiently. *Special thank you to Dj for excellent customer service & management; welcoming, friendly, professional, & helpful*
All staff are fabulous.
Consider more staff in the kitchen at busy times in the restaurant.

We paid for early check-in at noon, but the staff were kind enough to let us check in half an hour before that. The room was nice, and not too expensive.

Extremely disappointed with my stay at this Travelodge. The room was dirty and smelled absolutely awful ? like sweaty feet mixed with dampness. The bathroom was even worse: the sink and shower drains were clogged, and water leaked everywhere. It felt unhygienic and poorly maintained. I?ve stayed at other budget hotels before, but this was by far one of the worst experiences. Would not recommend unless absolutely desperate.

BE WARNED
This review is written based on a weeklong stay at this hotel. It is important to note that this is a budget hotel in Oxford where things may be a little pricey, and as such, one will need to determine whether the extra savings are worth the detrimental elements of this hotel. But what are the detrimental elements and is the trade-off worth it. The detrimental elements are namely traffic noise and room quality. This review will give some perspective based on my experiences of staying in this hotel.
Firstly, there are extra charges for things like early check in, Wi-Fi, and the maximum number of days the car park allows is three after which one will have to remember to top up. Accordingly, this may be considered acceptable on the basis that this is a budget hotel.
Secondly, the comfort of the stay, I had the displeasure of having the room with an odd number. The room in question faces the highway and, in my opinion, there is poor sound insulation, use of cheap materials within the construction of this budget hotel. In turn I was left unable to sleep on the first night which was a Saturday. Initially it was believed the noise may have been due to a busy Saturday; however, it was very much the same on the Sunday. I would be lying on the bed hearing (Whoosh ? Whoosh ? Whoosh) from all passing vehicles. This would go on until midnight and start again early in the morning. As such, I had to ask for an alternative room where the wall faces the car park. This was a little better but not perfect by any means. The distraction then was largely replaced by noises from the car park namely early morning deliveries where the lorry drivers at 6am loved to leave the engine running.
Thirdly, the room quality is extremely poor, the room with the odd number was painted dark blue. With the room already being small this made the area space even more confined. Coupled with the noise I felt like I was living in hell. Thankfully, the room with the even number was more neutral in colour which in turn gave the illusion of it being less claustrophobic. Furthermore, the door was broken, and as such when reported the builder attended whilst I was in my room, and it felt extremely intrusive. Also, I had to ask the staff to mop up the floor since the builder was trotting around the bathroom with his shoes on and it was a rainy day.
In conclusion, should one decide to stay in this hotel it is advisable to ensure that the stay is extremely limited. Ensure to ask for a room facing away from the main road. In all, avoid the huge regret of booking this hotel and perhaps look elsewhere, where sleeping well is possible. The saving of a few pounds was not worth it.

We stayed here for a wedding. It was clean and a great value for money. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
