I was really disappointed with my recent experience at this store. I waited around 15 minutes just to ask if they had my shoe size available. One member of staff was busy, so I asked another staff member for help, but they simply redirected me back to the person who was already occupied.
When I was eventually seen, I was told they didn?t have my size, but there was no effort made to suggest an alternative or help me find a similar style that would fit. It felt dismissive and unhelpful, and I left the store without making a purchase.
I understand staff can be busy, but I expected better customer service and a willingness to help.

I was disappointed with my visit to this store today. As others have mentioned the staff could be more polite?I also had to double-check the prices at the till, as they didn?t match what was displayed. When I raised this issue, the cashier called another staff member who informed me that I couldn?t purchase the item at the advertised price because the discount was too large!! I went on Sports Direct website and bought the same item for a cheaper price than the one advertised at the store. It?s unfortunate to see stores struggling, and closing but experiences like this explain why many of us prefer shopping online.

I shop here about once a year and the staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My most recent visit was no different; there was a great selection of shoes, clothes, etc arranged neatly and organised, with clear labelling on what was on special. The product quality is top tier, and I have a number of items that have lasted more than five years. The lady at the till was friendly and professional, and when I asked what the return policy was she let me know that I can bring anything back and I'll get the full amount as credit to use in the store. Keep up the great work!

Bought two tennis rackets from this place, both of which broke within a couple of hours of use which I've never had happen to me in 15 years of playing tennis. To make matters worse, on top of selling poor quality products, they refuse to refund directly back to your card and give you a gift receipt instead so you can buy even more of their shoddy stock! Never shopping there again. Also I've seen better customer service to say the least; some of them look like they're being held at gunpoint whilst interacting with customers

Manipulation with refund on corporate base. They refused to refund to original payment method. When I came to use the credit note that told me that this is not the right one and there should be another one. I got only one!!! Money lost. Never using them again. Not recommended. ?

I had a disappointing experience at this store. The staff seemed uninterested in helping customers, standing around chatting as if they didn?t want to be there. It felt like a big effort for them to assist me in finding shoes for my child. I even overheard them smirking behind my back, which was both unprofessional and unpleasant. The overall atmosphere was miserable, and the only saving grace was the girl at the till, who was approachable and polite. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience overshadowed her efforts. Definitely not going to this Sports Direct store again. And then when the store closes down they will wonder why they lost their job. Easier to just go online, why should we make an effort to shop local for below par service and experience.

I recently had a horrible experience with Sports Direct, made even worse by the worst customer service I?ve ever encountered. In-store, a short, rude, white, blonde lady kept following me around, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Instead of offering help, she spent most of her time gossiping and laughing with her colleague, which was not only disrespectful but also unprofessional. To make things worse, she kept mentioning the store?s closing time, even though there was plenty of time left, as if she couldn?t wait for me to leave. When I tried asking for assistance, she was dismissive and condescending. After checking reviews online, I found that others had also mentioned her unacceptable behavior, yet Sports Direct seems to do nothing about it. This entire experience has left me frustrated, and I won?t be shopping there again.

I had such a rude encounter with one of the workers when i was trying to shop for shoes. She was incredibly rude and unhelpful and disrespectful to everyone around her. She was a white woman on the larger side with a bun and a smug attitude. I think she needs training to learn how to communicate with people. I am so disappointed in the store, I have been going here for years to buy my shoes. I will never be coming again if she is still working there.

Wow, staff were so rude!
I approached a staff member with a smile on my face and asked for a pair of shoes in a certain size.
I was met with a look of death.
So continued to try and stay upbeat. I know retail jobs can be tough, been there done that.
But surely you can at least stay neutral if you can't smile for whatever reason.
I ended up going to the Didcot branch. The difference was amazing, a tidy shop with friendly and helpful staff.
Oxford, try harder! I imagine they have a poor manager. That's what usually happens. The negativity often starts at the top. But who knows?
I definitely won't go back to the Oxford shop again.

Good actions are relatively kind and helpful, but sometimes they are inattentive. Now e.g. I've lost 6 lbs. Regardless, it's really worth shopping here

Horrible staff, horrible horrible! Rude, particularly this women who is supposed to be a supervisor has no customer service skills or doesn't know how to treat customers or children in the shop. I will be making a massive complaint against her very soon for traumatizing my son last night in the shop at 7.30pm. AVOID Sports Direct in Cowley
