Happy Easter to all the staff at our local Sainsbury?s in Summertown. I think they are very hard working and work long hours and deserve our gratitude for being open at all hours so we can dash in to buy forgotten items etc. The security staff are needed because of the abuse the staff regularly put up with so be glad. The pastries are the best in Summertown, especially the Pasteis de Nata but don?t tell everybody.

Dreadful store: miserable staff with an attitude problem and now we are followed around by ?security? wearing a bodycam. Just remember, not all of us are criminals we are just innocent shoppers and get really miffed when we are looked at with contempt as we are followed around. Train your staff properly Sainsbury's

Store is well stocked. The staff here are so miserable. Especially the manager Catherine. Lead by example and practice ?service with a smile?.. you quite literally are paid to work. The security guards are always lovely and smiley and very helpful.

I visited the store 28/12/24 at 4:18pm,customer service was poor by a cashier i reported it to the store manager (Catherine).The cashier had a bad attitude and mishandle my items at the till.The manager was unbothered about my complain not surprised,she gave no apology she carry on with puttin stock out.If the store manager is not bothered about how customer?s are treated it tells you all you need to know about that store.Very disappointed,what an awful place to shop.

They failed to pack all items ordered on Deliveroo. The items they did manage to pack had a sell by date of 25/2 which means we must eat 3 days worth of food in 2 days. Very sloppy standards Sainsburys.

Female worker paranoid and unstable, I said "omg really" as I looked at my phone and she turned around and had a go at me accusing me of saying it to her? Not sure what this was about but I don't care about anyone's weight and so her being paranoid and accusing random young women like me of saying something about her weight is ridiculous. Paranoid nutcase. Very unprofessional.

Awful customer service - I was overcharged for an item and went back to point this out and ask for the difference to be refunded. Two members of staff looked at me like I was a criminal and both insisted on going back to the shelf to check the price, one after the other, as a large queue built up behind me. I was then asked aggressively if I?d paid for all my items (I?d literally just given the cashier my receipt to show that I had), was offered no apology for the mistake by either the young man on the till nor his supervisor, and was finally given a refund for the difference almost 10 minutes later. Won?t be shopping at this branch again until they train their staff in basic courtesy and competence!

After my experience today I understand the negative reviews here. Sainsbury's, you need to do better. Invest in customer service training to prevent your employees from driving away customers. You have a Muslim male employee who makes disparaging, unprofessional comments like "I'm Muslim and I know what I'm talking about" and "You should read more (about Islam)".For reference, I'm visibly Muslim and absolutely not interested in being lectured about my religion in a supermarket. It shouldn't have happened and I would like to know that this employee will not be allowed to cross boundaries with other shoppers in the future.
