I had an excellent recent experience at Richer Sounds Oxford to buy some new Hi-Fi gear (new amplifier, speakers, CD transport and streamer). After an initial enquiry email, I had a useful call from Paddy who advised me of a system that would suit my budget and small listening room, and he arranged a demo session for me to try two amplifiers and three sets of loudspeakers. I went ahead with the purchase including some speaker cables (which he helpfully fitted the banana plugs to for me). Collected the order from store only a few days after ordering and I have already set up in my living room. The system sounds excellent (arguably even better than it did in store), and I'm very pleased with the purchase. Hard to replace good advice and in-store listening, as it prevented me from buying some more expensive (and bassier) speakers that might not have suited my living room. Would definitely recommend to others. Also nice to find a Hi-Fi shop that sells non 'high-end' gear, as most shops these days tend to specialise in very expensive gear, out of my price range.Also worth adding that Richer Sounds offer a good range of payment options if you would like to spread the payment over a few months. I went for the 'Buy Now, Pay Later' option, which allows me to spread the payment over 6 months, interest free.

5 star every time. I have used Richer Sounds since I was 16 buying a CD player and separates! which, I still have and in good working order. Anyway team are very knowledgeable and have a passion for all things AV! You can go into the store and have a look at a nice selection of AV and have a demo room. The online store has so much to offer and also offer price match, but to be honest they are so competitive I don?t need to bother. For the first time my newly purchased Yamaha amp has a few issues. The team asked me to bring in. They boxed up for me and Yamaha arrange for it to be picked up from them. Let?s hope it gets fixed soon! Well done Richer sounds Oxford.
