Pretty authentic of sichuan taste.
1. Fish slices in sichuan chilli oil £18.80. The portion is slight small with this price as there is less fish slices.
2.Grilled intestines £14.80. The intestines is crispy and flavorful with the tasty sauce coated on it.

Second time here, food is overated imo. Its ok but better food elsewhere (sir sun sifu, dancing dragon summertown). Look at the photo of steamed watering chicken. Frozen chicken, all bones, mean small portion with a jar of laogama poured over it.... poor effort...rest of food was good.

My food was average to below average quality, but not horrendously expensive. Not many Chinese faces as customers they mostly seem to be a few doors down in JinJin, Rice Box or Cafe Oriental.
Lots of young staff but mostly milling about talking to each other as not busy and not seeing if I want my bill paid or something else. The manager was making herself much more busy and clearly a good employee /owner.
Unsightly dirty dishes left in container on floor in middle of restaurant. Noticed the manager sneakily taking photos of customer tables when they sat down which I suspect is for security reasons or to help with distributing orders, but was a bit weird.
It's not a terrible restaurant but it's not a great one either and there are better options surrounding it on Cowley road. There is however good seating, it's well decorated and clean.

Good food, bad service. As a customer, you shouldn?t be made to feel that asking for things is ?bothering? the staff. They?re forgetful and not attentive (had to ask for the drinks we ordered three times and eventually gave up as they never came).
£25 per person for hot pot with unlimited orders from a rather limited menu. They never brought out on the platter everything we had marked we wanted on the menu. We asked for meat and veggies to be separated for our vegetarian friend and they said yes and then they didn?t ? we had to do it ourselves at the table. Etc etc.

To all the customers Update!
I was contacted by Charlie, The manager shortly after the review was placed. He apologised and said a refund is due within 5 working days. Also a lie.
Don?t order anything from that place. Total scam! Not worth it and a I don?t have words. During a very important day for my husband, we were waiting 2h for the delivery, the food was cold, the manager said it was Uber eats fault. It was not, I was promised a refund, nothing like that happened- it?s been 5 months and I called 3 times. The English speaking manager is an absolute liar and a fraud. I wish the owners would do something about him.

Went in yesterday for lunch it wasn't very busy but I waited ages for a table. I ordered the chillie garlic ribs and chicken egg fried rice! Service was fast but my rice had egg shells in it and whenever I tried to call a member of staff over they ignored me. They cleared my plate the moment I took my last bite and gave me the bill straight away without asking if I wanted anything else. I wanted to sit and enjoy my time but I felt very rushed. The food tasted very bland and was not what they made it out to be.

From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by a sense of spaciousness and comfort. The open, airy layout created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. Plush, inviting chairs seemed to beckon me to sit down and enjoy a peaceful meal.
The food arrived piping hot, its aroma wafting through the air and instantly awakening my appetite. What stood out most was the seasoning ? perfectly balanced and not overly salty, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine. It?s a refreshing change for those who appreciate subtle, refined tastes in their dishes.
Service was another highlight. The staff were attentive, courteous, and genuinely friendly. Perhaps I came during a quiet time, but the level of care I received reflected a commendable sense of professionalism and pride in their work.
With reasonable prices that match the quality of both the food and service, this is definitely a place worth revisiting. A memorable and satisfying culinary experience overall.
