Food is healthy and tasty (what you expect from Pret) and the historic building it's in is beautifully maintained. I've always appreciated the staff here as well -- very friendly and professional.
My one (significant) complaint is the noise.
The music playlist is some sort of off-brand pseudo-pop which is hard to listen to (and usually even too loud to drown out with headphones). I imagine this is a requirement from corporate? The upstairs area where the customer bathrooms are is also loud. They must have some sort of staff-only rooms there because doors are frequently slamming. In sum, you'd need to find a lucky corner to find a tolerable noise level.

I went here with a friend while Christmas shopping. Obviously Pret is a widespread café chain, but as far as chains go, the food is superb. The build itself is a very atmospheric Tudor house, which adds perfectly to the rustic ambience. The only thing I could criticise it on is its value. It's not as expensive as a fancy restaurant, but visibly more expensive than an average fast casual restaurant.

Food and drinks were very good quality, which was to be expected with the Pret price tag. Although two of the drinks chillers weren't turned on so you could only get ambient drinks from them...the atmosphere of the place was quite strange, seemed a little neglected/dark and I don't think there was any background music to improve the atmosphere.
One big problem with this place is the customer toilets. There is only one cubicle for male, one for female, which led to queues for both. Also I think they are the tiniest toilets I've ever used ? smaller than those in central London! I understand it's an old building but Pret needs to sort out these basic facilities for customers.

Great sandwich well worth the £5! I love you Prêt and your reliability. Pictured is the new Lebanese Chicken Wrap, which I got to takeaway, but I also recommend the Posh Pickle Baguette! Both very good.

I requested a Cappuccino with vanilla, but to be honest it doesn't taste like it has vanilla, is too simple even with sugar.
The vibe of the place is not that good.
