Great hotel just unfortunate that they were short staffed on my visit which meant I couldn't make use of the restaurant.

The hotel is the hotel, clean, value for money - the usual stuff. It's the staff here that stood out. We had multiple people in our party and most of us arrived at the same time (many out of the UK), we were warmly welcomed, we were helped and we were supported. The staff made the weekend felt a lot more like home for our family and friends. Thank you.Rooms: Clean and well stocked. The shower is from heaven ?...I will stay here again because of that showerFood & drinks: The restaurant was great and the staff here were available when you need anything

Clean rooms & spacious. Plenty of parking. Only thing I disagree with is the check in. It is self check in & machine didn't work. Businesses are too eager to get rid of actual people. As machine didn't work we still needed to speak to staff. We ate in the beefeater which had really slow service which was a nightmare with a toddler. The second night we went to beefeater to be told there didn't have enough staff so wouldn't be taking anymore customers. Nightmare having to then go out with a toddler so ended up getting a takeaway. From reading reviews they are under new management but doesn't appear to have fixed the negative reviews!Rooms: Spacious & cleanNearby activities: Blenheim palace

Booked a family room weeks ahead. Arrived to no kids beds made up. Went to reception got given sheets to make up beds ourselves.. got given dirty duvets and pillow cases, so went bk down to complain about them, got taken round the rooms to search for clean ones, omg, the state of the laundry areas and stuff how they get away with this is disgusting. Only 2 towels left for 4 of us. A lady eventually come to help make the beds up and even she said she was going to complain because the state of the sheets etc. Emailed 3 weeks ago to complain and haven't had a reply. Beefeater food, very very veeeeeerrry slow and wasn't busy. Drinks took ages to come. Breakfast in the morning wasn't to bad. But not great. Wouldn't stay again tho or recommend.

Jennifer at the reception was extra exceptionally good and welcoming to all guests. Jennifer made everyone that she came in contact with feel at home. She was kind and exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. Her customer skills were really excellent. And everybody of our wedding party commended her. I had to tell the manager about her good deeds. I have previously stayed in numerous Premier Inn's all over the UK before BUT Jennifer made this one so different. Every little help she made counted and put smiles on all guest faces.

The room itself was fine with no issues and breakfast was good. What was completely unacceptable is that when I arrived I was told that although I had booked a family room, there would only be one bed, as I must have selected only one person upon booking and was told with great certainty, that it was my mistake. When I said I'm sure I would have selected three people when I booked, as there are two adults and one child in our family, the person on reception said i had made a mistake, and that the hotel was very busy and he would have to see if he could find a room with more beds. I was completely devastated as we were 3 hours from home pregnant and with a toddler. Whilst he was looking to see if there was a room, I found my confirmation email, which clearly stated in black and white, that I had booked a family room for 2 adults and 1 child. We waited around 30 minutes to find out if we could have a room, given this was 9:30pm at night, and that I am heavily pregnant, and also had a toddler with us, this was a really stressful situation. Once I told the receptionist I had found my email to confirm I hadn't made a mistake, he at first explained that it was not my fault, but also not his, I think he maybe should have just apologised on behalf of the hotel at this moment. Other guests had explained to us that they had been told a similar thing, and clearly there was a system error with the hotels computers. Before we got our room key the receptionist did apologise, and to be honest I think he tried his best in what was a stressful situation all round, I think it was also a stressful situation for him to deal with on his own, he dealt with it as best he could in the end and this is not fair to put your staff in this position. This error from the hotel was completely unacceptable, and created a very stressful situation for us not knowing if we would have a bed for the night, and at first putting the blame on us. Although at first the member of staff could have dealt with things much better, I do not wish to blame him, I feel he was under pressure and running around, and this was a system error from the hotel itself. I have been advised by the doctor to avoid stressful situations given complications in my pregnancy so far, and I can tell you this really did not help! I barely slept at all that night as the whole situation took me a while to stop thinking about. I have called premier inn customer services in the past over another experience, and they

Excellent stay, great Premier Inn, room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. So quiet, a great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. Staff very helpful, self check in available too. I have staid here before and would definitely stay again with no hesitation. The restaurant adjoined serves great food, very accommodating for a solo traveller, great service for dinner and breakfast. WiFi connection was okay, sufficient to get work done and housekeeping did not keep knocking on the door (as some hotels do post breakfast) so you didn?t feel rushed. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were all so lovely and welcoming. Look forward to my next stay at this Premier Inn. Location is on a business park but all areas are easily accessible and the bonus is how quiet the area is with plenty of parking!!

Check-in was stressful and poor. When requesting names for rooms don't get agitated when offered surnames. If you want full names of adult occupants in each room say so and be clear. You won't need to get frustrated with your guests then. It would have also been nice if the barman could have been polite and use a please and thank you occasionally. A welcome would have been well received instead of making your customers feel like they are an inconvenience and a nuisance. Now Sam at breakfast what an absolute superstar! The epitome of amazing genuine customer service. Sam deserves a gold medal for ticking all the boxes. Also the lady who helped on the phone the morning of our vist was also really efficient and helpful.

Easy to find, clean, large car park. Did not need to register the car as you do in other travel inn sites.Check-in quite easy and pain-free. I was really disappointed to find that the attached restaurant stopped food at 9pm, sharp!.Popped to the local Co op 5 minutes away.I like the newer travel Inn rooms with walk in shower, rather than the bath/shower combined, however that's a preference. TV and remote froze, but upon contacting reception, this was quickly attended to. Room clean with all the usual features.Breakfast buffet style, but all appeared freshly prepared and tasty. Easy check-out.

We found the hotel to be well situated for a visit to Oxford, with easy access to the park and ride at the Oxford Parkway railway station the cost was £5 to park the car this enabled 2 people to travel on the bus to Oxford and back again using the car park ticket, The hotel was clean and tidy and easy to find, we took advantage of the 2 course evening meal and a Buffett breakfast package along with a choice of a free drink of various choices, which worked very well,

Reading some of these scathing reviews, I wonder if they are of the same hotel we stayed in? We have stayed in dozens of Premier Inn across UK, some are great, some are ahem not so great.Upon arrival, it was an automated sign in, a bit unwelcoming, it's nice to have a, human hello. It being near Halloween, there was a skeleton in an arm chair in the reception, not a great omen. Perhaps one of the former guests still waiting for their dinner, or a reply to their complaint...Regardless, we were happy with this one; clean, modern, quiet, close to Blenheim Palace. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. Yes, TV remote was temperamental. Exotic view of car park added to our collection of "car parks of Great Britain" that I hope to publish one day.Although October, it was very hot in the room, wife struggled to sleep, despite turning air con down. Wish they would allow windows to be open. This is not just Premier Inn trend, seems to be all new builds. No open windows to save energy, so I'll just blast a fan or air con instead??Bed comfy, glad for the spare pillows.Bathroom spotless.Ok, the restaurant has had a lot of complaints. Tbh we were happy to eat there, although ironically it was draughty when we first arrived. The food was standard Beefeater/GreenKing/Harvester type. I had a burger (safe option). My wife ordered a steak, very brave. But it arrived fresh and hot and she was very happy with it, although to my eyes it looked a little more rare than medium...We only waited 15 minutes. I will add that we were there 6pm on a Friday, it was not busy. The dessert (expensive) were served with ice cream, which was very much more ice than cream. Very cheap quality, and not cheerful. Harvester spoils us with super creamy ice cream. The second evening, we decided to visit a local pub, for ye olde genuine country atmosphere. Well, the food was the same price, and basically microwaved pie and chewy frozen 2 veg. So much for trying to support local businesses. If they can't even try, don't expect my custom again. Any way I digress... Point being, if we'd been there a third day I would of eaten at the hotel. Or Macdonalds.Breakfast - oh dear.I paid £10 each for the convenience of hot breakfast. It's ok, nothing either too dry or too runny.Pastries were nice. The worst thing is the coffee machine. Anything other than espresso is soooo watered down. I advise pressing the button, and NOT putting the cup under the spout, let all that water drain out, then return the cup to catch the actual miniscule bit of coffee that drips out at the end! Or add some instant sachets if you're desperate. The cappuccino fills it with cold milk, not hot, so it's luke warm from the start. WOEFUL, coffee is the most important meal of the day!!!We thought the restaurant staff were really trying their best, but they're not miracle workers. The location is perfect for Blenheim Palace, only 2 miles away.Would we stay again? I hope to never visit Blenheim Palace again, but if for some other unforseen reason I had to stay overnight near Oxford (perhaps to sign first copies of my car park journal) then I would stay here again. But I'd ask for a North facing room so I could watch the airport, not the boring EV charger.
