Location perfect for where we needed to go. Shower stall very small. There was no mattress protector and the sheet too small to tuck into the sides of the bed.However conveniently situated to food outlets. And bus stops.Staff were very friendly.

Location is amazing, city centre.Shower wasn't very clean. Walls were dirty as well, was very noisy at night and blinds weren't enough :(Walkability: Everything is close by

DO NOT STAY HERE! The people who own it lie and do not help their customers! We had to leave during the night due to the horrific situation and smell in the room! The staff do not supervise the doors and no one was around to help also there is no lock on the door so we felt very unsafe you only had a chain on the door!The air con vents are very loud no matter where you are!The staff have no idea how to run the hotel because they lie and take all your money.

Most of the essentials I expect from a hotel room are there. The room is somewhat small but adequate, and the property cost must be high in Oxford. The reception was manned, so that we could leave our luggage there for two hours after check-out. Sadly, No tissue paper provided in room. Metal bar on glass shelf in toilet kept falling off. I repaired it.Walkability: Near the bus station and main attractions.

Tradeoffs are never easy.Reasonable cost here - good news.However, no elevator, and there are rooms three flights up. The ?twin? rooms do not have two beds - the one I was in barely held one bed. There are no plugs near the bed head (a miss in todays tech-heavy landscape), although if you really stretch under a small desk, you can find a plug that serves both a small desk and that side of the bed - no table there, so phone goes on the floor at night. Why no table? Because the closet is so close to the bed on that side, it only opens 10 inches or so - no room for a table. Shower is very small, with a ton of spray - have to play a bit to get the right mix of shower angles. No AC (this is Oxford, after all), but there is a fan you can lift up and put on your little desk if you want.The price is good! The location is very close to bus station at Gloucester Green, and reasonably close to City Centre.Tradeoffs. . .

This establishment is set up to cheat your money.No lift, no help to bring up luggage at all.Room looks like a cheap hostel room with damaged victorian era plumbing in small bathroom, and not a bit looks like the picture in internet.Did not even tried the bed but I could see old spring protruding to the surface of the bed. Would be very painful to lay on those.Rude receptionist with blatant lie (claiming no other oxford central hotel has lift where I had stayed in 3 others including one 100m away which has lift).No cancellation policy, and if you left items in the hotel they will claim not seeing anything despite they only have few rooms.Avoid at all costs.

Rude owner. Called the hotel prior to booking to arrange logistics for the trip. Called the night before our stay to confirm these. Arrived at the hotel where the owner was rude, argumentative and disrespectful. Spent nearly £1K on multiple rooms for that night and didn't even end up staying due to how uncomfortable we felt.

No lift/elevator which I did not even think a hotel would not have. Lots of employees around not offering to help as I struggled for 15 minutes taking breaks to get down the stairs with my luggage. I?m not sure if they have AC in the rooms, thank goodness it?s winter and I could open the windows. It?s fair to guess that family members wrote all of the good reviews as there is no interior decor & no lobby. The nois at 6 am from the downstairs bar loading and unloading kegs was absolutely horrific. This is basically a walk up hostel. The room was clean, however high priced with no amenities.
