Evelyn is very friendly and welcoming but do not come here for a silk press, I left with very greasy hair and that I can?t even separate without the strands clumping together. It was by far the worst silk press I have gotten. Furthermore she had the flat iron on 230 Celsius and passed through my hair multiple times and would leave the flat iron on a piece of my hair for 5-7 seconds while she got a comb out of my hair or talked to me. I asked her to do less passes and said it was fine because she used heat protectant but my hair was really stringy when I left. Also there was something burnt on the flat iron.I?m sure her other services are great but I would not recommend her for a silk press. Great service though!

Some of the tightest braids I've received. Absolutely not worth the time or money that I've spent. While Evelyn was welcoming, she often wouldn't listen when I told her she was braiding my hair too tightly and I didn't get the result that I had asked her for. The quality is mediocre.

After being consistently let down by another salon, what a breath of fresh air to visit Evelyn?s! I felt so welcome and my appointment started on time. The service was amazing. My hair feels incredible. I was even tutored on how to hydrate and condition my hair and scalp. I?ll definitely return in 6-8 weeks.Service: Hairstyling

Don't go here! I called to make an appointment, arrived the next day for the appointment only for me to get half of what I wanted.They told me that the person who was due to braid my hair would not be showing up and instead of trying to rectify the situation, I was left with a head full of tangled hair that I couldn't comb through and left to find another hair salon at short notice just so I could get my hair presentable for work. Mediocre service and horrendous communication.For someone new to Oxford and looking for a place to do your hair, this is not the place for you.

This is a fabulous salon to go to. Evelyn was amazing and managed to detangle and cornrow my very matted hair with such grace and ease! She was attentive and very professional! Highly recommend this salon.

The service was mediocre and the communication was not consistent. I called for braids. Once quoted and settled on a style, I asked if the hair was included in the price. I was told yes.I arrived at my scheduled time and the beautician was not ready. I was then told that the hair is not available and there's an additional charge for the hair.I waited 2.5 - 3 hours before being served. Hence, I decided to get a sew-in due to time. I found out two days later that my track wasn't sown and the closure was lifting.The beautician is nice and friendly, but the service and work is mediocre. I gave two stars for the beautician's personality, but I recommend looking somewhere else for good quality work.I am writing this review as an honest feedback for someone who was like me (new to Oxford and looking for black hair care).Services: Hairstyling
