This place has the best doughnuts I've ever had - try the speculoos one. Where are they from? Also, free kids meal with £4 adult spend... You don't get offers like this anywhere else. Really nice atmosphere, relaxing and friendly. Takes me back to childhood days of BHS and Debenhams...

Popped in to browse for Christmas, oh dear! Started with coffee, three behind counter 'serving' so slow looked chaotic took seven minutes to get through with only five in front, coffee bitter and lukewarm. Bought some items queue to pay long, only two serving. Had I been in a rush wouldn't have worked for me. Manager needs to get a grip before it folds. Not a pleasant experience.

We always go to Oxford Dunelm & look forward to their jacket potatoes.Inquired today when they start serving & we're told 12pm. We had a coffee then wandered around till just after 12pm to then be told they would be another hour plus.I totally support employing young person's but there should be an older person to supervise the running of the cafe.Many a time the service is just not what it should be. Today 2 of the staff didn't actually speak & the young lady serving seemed to be running around doing everything and not looking happy at all.Such a shame as it could be a smashing little gold mine, as there isn't anywhere else to eat

Unfortunately, so disappointed today. An accident waiting to happen with very stressed staff running around like headless chickens (especially one staff member who ran out of the cafe 5 times to get supplies while we were there. Long wait and limited options. Jacket potato not hot. Not the service we usually get there.

How this cafe keeps going is beyond me. Had one sip of my coffee and it was awful...totally burnt. The person who made it has been there for such a long time so surely should have been trained by now. I didn't bother finishing it.People next to us sent their bacon sandwich back as it was cold.The service in this place is extremely slow, the staff are miserable, the cafe itself is drab and tables are usually dirty.Considering I work in a cafe myself and am a trained batista....I'm not sure how they're still open!!!

The service was very very poor, we got shouted to come and grab our drinks when others were served at tables, they were not busy. Only difference was we're of colour so selective service pending on colour such an ugly service will avoid. The guy serving was vulgar big, and clearly lost any customer service, unless you're white. There was a stench and tables were left with plates on, sticky and no one bothered to clean. The latte was weak and watery clearly no idea how to make one. Totally put off won't waste money there again, very poorly managed.

Have used the Oxford café for some years now BUT may stop going . Reason, the seating, cloth covered, is in desperate and immediate need of cleaning. The fabric is badly stained and dirty, and we ended up sitting on the least unpleasant ones . This is basic housekeeping ,and should be

Ran out of jacket potatoes at 1pm. Not much else to offer especially for a gluten free option. Staff very unhelpful to one another. Very very long wait even for a cheesy scone. Not enough staff. Whole time spent waiting anxiously for food whilst some staff members were oblivious and in no rush. Very badly managed.
