Superb! Having tried a number of Abingdon opticians - and found them uninspiring - I came to Conways in Oxford for my annual eye check. I was warmly welcomed by Bobby, who took me downstairs for the examination. This was performed very thoroughly by Christine, who was very reassuring and explained everything to me. I felt 100% confident in her suggestions and recommendations. I needed a change of prescription and Morgan went through all my options - even recommending a less expensive lens on the basis that I might need to change my prescription again sooner rather than later. Again, I felt 100% confident that my new lenses would be right for me. Well done Conways!

I lost my (very necessary) reading glasses while travelling. I booked a 9am appointment on the day I was due to start work in Oxford. I had an eye test, chose some frames, the glasses were assembled and I was on my way by 10am. I love the glasses too. The prescription and the style of the frames are exactly right. Many thanks to Christine, Morgan and Bonnie for all their help!

It?s a pity I can?t give 0 stars! Took over 6 weeks to make a single pair of very expensive glasses. Repeated promises that they would phone me without a single phone call. I went into the shop on numerous occasions only to be lied to again and again. Was offered a pair of free reading glasses to apologise. After a month they were ready but the lens was ?incorrectly positioned? so couldn?t use them. They sent them off after another two months I want to collect and yet again they are completely unusable. Basically this is an optometrist that cannot make glasses! I have just taken the unusable reading glasses and will get some professionals to make lenses for them. Especially at the price, a total scam!

Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service and an unrivalled selection of frames. I was shopping for my first ever pair of glasses and I have a rather large head and eccentric tastes, so nowhere else in Oxford felt right. Here I got to try on a whole range of frames from contemporary to authentic vintage pieces and, with Morgan?s help, I found a pair I fell in love with.

I have been cheated by this store many times, I asked them to replace the lenses on my glasses and they said it would be done in 10 days. I asked them to replace the lenses in my glasses and they said it would be done in 10 days. 10 days later I went to the store and they said the lenses were not tinted, I waited an additional 2 weeks for completion. I was told that the machine to fit the lenses into the glasses was broken and that I needed more time. I waited a total of about a month for the lenses to be completed, but in the end they did not replace the lenses and I asked for a refund. I have seen this problem in other reviews as well. I will never go back to this store again.

Every member of staff at this optometrist is friendly and kind. They helped me find a pair of glasses that were right for me, and didn't make me feel rushed in the slightest. They even dimmed the lights in the shop to help me with my autism and associated light photosensitivity. I highly recommend them. A wonderful and relaxing place to get your eyes tested.

I have to say how amazing the lovely ladies at Conways have been. Morgan and Bobby helped massively with the choose of frames, which is not easy with my prescription. Morgan did a fantastic job of making my lenses fit, so they looked super slim. A truly amazing job.
