Barnardo have usually acknowledged a donation we have made followed up with the amount they have received from sales, a brilliant technique. We donated a couple of months ago, results of a wardrobe and cupboards clearance, a goodly amount. We haven't had any feedback and when a new donation was made today and this lack of acknowledgement was mentioned only to be told they no longer tell people what they have earned.

Ridiculous timing. Google says you shut at 5:30 however my mum and I turned up today at 5pm and all lights were off. There were two workers in the shop still behind the till who I signalled at to ask why they were shut and they looked offended at me and carried on what they were doing. This is not the first time I've gone to this shop and found it shut way before its closing time. The repetitiveness of this needs to stop, especially if volunteers are just wanting to make an early getaway. Very disappointing.

Today I found collectable stockings here. It was 50p each. The prices are always affordable. I love this store.

It says this shop is open till 5pm, but was closed at 4.40. Now I understand that when a business relies on volunteers, that opening times can fluctuate, however, the surly attitude and manner of the staff member on the door, was unnecessarily hostile and rude. It was not my first encounter with this individual, who was guarding the door like an angry security guard.
No more for me, life's too short, and there are plenty of charity shops elsewhere.

This is a great shop with excellent selection of clothes and items all at sensible prices... all supporting a wonderful charity that is close to our hearts.
While we have enjoyed shopping here, the increasingly negative attitude of the staff makes interactions uncomfortable. That seems to be coming from the manager as she displayed a rather unpleasant attitude towards the only staff member who was jolly and upbeat (the young gentleman behind the til).
It would be good for whoever monitors this store to have a word with the manager as it's becoming an unpleasant place to shop.
Not what you'd expect from a charity shop.
I hope they improve soon.

How ironic that Barnados is a children?s charity yet the woman manning this shop displays a clear dislike of children. Went in for the first time today and my children (12 and 8) were admiring the kids toy section picking up and looking at squeezy balls (not throwing them or causing any disruption) and well within my watch, yet this rude woman decided to come over to them and reprimand them by stating ?I?d rather you didn?t?- all I can take from this is that she took a dislike to my children for reasons which one can only make certain assumptions. This is extremely disappointing given the multicultural area this shop is situated within.
If you don?t want kids to pick up toys then take them out of your shop since they are not charity items but you are selling them as an adjunct for extra profits.

I love this shop, always able to find at least a few things to take home with me! I think the hours may need to be updated a bit, several times (including today) I visited an hour before the stated closing time of 5:30pm to find it dark. Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful charity shop with friendly and helpful staff. There's always something interesting to be found and they have a wide range of items on offer. Really pleased every time I visit here.

This is probably my favourite charity shop on the Cowley Road. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It has a fast moving stock with a chance for interesting find. The book section is also particularly excellent (and has kept me stocked in books for months!). I tend to donate my books back to the charity shop.
