We visited Al Shami as a group of ten and some of us were quite late but we still received good and attentive service.
The food was all very tasty and the meat was cooked excellently. A good amount of food at a reasonable price.

Al Shami hosted our retirement dinner for 24 in the atmospheric back room. The restaurant was the perfect host: welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The food - a selection of a wide variety of starter plates - was delicious and suited a mix of dietary needs. We can?t thank Al Shami enough for making the evening such a success.

Following a great visit last year we returned this. Unfortunately a disappointing experience this time round. We felt neither the food nor service as good as last time. Food was OK but not as tasty and the service certainly not as friendly. Would return next time we are in Oxford though to see if they are back up to the standard of our first visit.

Not worth the money,The Lamb was cremated the chicken had no taste we ordered a cold mezze with pitta no pitta we had to ask and it arrived cold in a plastic bag the Lebanese wine was £8 for a very small glass again not worth it starters and mains all arrived at once food was terrible very basic I could do better from Lidl. Won?t be returning anytime soon

Lovely food and great service. We had 7 mezes for 2 of us. 5 or 6 would've been enough. Bread came with them and we couldn't finish everything. The only thing that spoilt it for me was the 10% service added to the bill. Better to just raise the prices and pay the staff a little more!

I visited here with my friends. Food was delicious and the service was really great. I highly recommend to visit this restaurant when you are in Oxford.

Ahmed elevated the experience exponentially. Worth going just to see his moustache!

Great food for good value. Best Hummus I have had outside the middle east. The manager Ahmed made the experience for us with his excellent banter and friendliness.
