If you?re staying in the hotel, make sure to book directly with them and not a 3rd party site as it seems the old owners are doing something dodgy - you will lose your money!!
Despite the booking situation, I had an amazing experience at this lovely pub/hotel. The team couldn?t do enough to rectify the problem I had with the booking and they made sure I was comfortable throughout the stay.
It?s a lovely homely environment in a beautiful little village with friendly locals!
Would highly recommend and when I?m back in the area, I?d happily come back to stay :)

The food was very tasty but everything was covered in coriander which is not to my liking. I can understand it as a garnish but when it's on every dish in great quantities it's a bit much for me. Had chicken jalfrezi, mixed grill, pilau rice and garlic naan between two people, with wings and chilli prawns to start. The amount of food was plenty and we even had leftovers to take home. The price was over what I would expect to pay. The jalfrezi was about double the price you would pay from a takeaway or more traditional Indian restaurant and I'm not sure why. The atmosphere was nice and chilled and the service was impeccable so no complaints there. The pub itself is very quaint with a wood burning fire and Tudor beams which set the tone nicely. Overall, with a little tweak on pricing it's a very nice eating experience. You can get the same quality food locally for a good deal less too. 3.5 to 4 stars seems fair.

Quite a nice Indian restaurant/pub. The food wasn't the absolutely best I've eaten, but it certainly wasn't the worst, and you'd struggle to find better in the area. Really nice owners and staff, as well as a pub and bar in the front for drinks.
