We've just had a meal for two here. Leek gratin and red dragon pate for starters - both absolutely delicious, proper liver pate, and succulent, subtly flavoured leeks.
For main corned beef pie - proper pie, with pastry all round, not a stew with a lid as is so common - real childhood comfort food with crispy chips and veg done just right! And a swansea breakfast - never tried cockles (except pickled) or laverbread, but really impressed with both, seriously tasty.
And very reasonable prices for this close to Oxford! Thoroughly recommended!

Only been once unfortunately it was a funeral but loved it was made to feel really welcome the staff was so friendly it's what I would call a proper village pub and I would definitely recommend it to anyone
