I came to the red lion kidlington with my friends and had some lunch. The staff were very helpful and they did everything with a smile. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great! I will definitely be coming back.

It's very average, or maybe below average. Tired furniture, too many TV screens with nobody watching them and gambling machines, the music was too loud at 5pm. Everything felt sticky. I can't believe I'd ever recommend a green king pub above another but you'd be better off eating 30 metres down the road (or better yet the King's Arms).

The Red Lion is an Ember Inns pub so you can expect the same type of fayre as in others under that chain's umbrella. We popped in driving back from Glos. I had fish and chips ans my mate had a lasagne. With two drinks that came to £31. The fish and chips were ok. Nothing stand out. My mate enjoyed his lasagne too. Place was busy and staff were really good. Plenty parking out front.

Went on a Saturday night by chance...as dont know the area and was looking for somewhere blindly!! Waiter was super polite and funny - real asset to the business. Ordered via the app and drinks and food came without delay. Food was good, decent pub food that was tasty (and the mash was superb). Maybe different vibe during the week...this is definitely a drinking pub on a Saturday, and the band was setting up...so probably wouldn't return on a Saturday for a 'meal out' although for a drink for sure. But decent and food was good so no complaints here!

I entered the pub and was greeted by the lovely staff Chloe was exceptional with her service and made my experience 10x better the food was cooked perfectly and I have no complaints

Service was friendly and efficient but let down by the burger which was supposed to be spicy chicken being rather bland and having a noticeably burnt bun that should have been binned rather then served to a paying customer. Good range of drinks on tap.
