I was taken here today for mothers day and I was really disappointed at the quality of the food. I had the butter chicken which was ok, chicken bhuna the chicken was over cooked and chewy, the aloo cauli was ok my extremely bland and the naan bread was horrid...it wasn't a naan bread more like a burnt flat bread. I have been here before and the food was excellent. Also I found a hair in my food which put me right off finishing my meal.
Finally, and not to do with the food it's your bar area. I bought my 5 year old daughter with me and all I could here was a man using extremely foul language whilst watching the TV.
Has this place gone under new management because it's lost its spark.

7 of us dined at the Gurkha again last night and the service was second to none. Nothing was rushed and the food was warm and tasty as always.

Atmosphere: We went on a early Friday evening, and the restaurant was empty. The place looked fine.
Service: There was no one to tell us where to sit or to greet us. After a minute or so, one of the staff members came, didn't look particularly happy or welcoming, and showed us to a table in the corner of the restaurant. Couple of other staff members seemed a bit more cheerful and welcoming.
Food (note: we were very hungry when we ate): average in taste, low in quality and high in price. We ordered vegetarian momos (4 pieces for over £6). Taste was okay, but this is quite pricey. We then ordered chilli potato, which was 40% lettuce, 30% onions, 20% over fried chips and the rest was oil, sauces and flavours. Overall it was a small portion. The taste was good (perhaps 6/10), but the quality seemed poor. Again, quite a high price for the flavour and quality of the food.
Overall: I would go back if prices were reduced by 50%, smiles were increased by 200%, oil was reduced by 50% or my desperation was increased by 100%

This is a fantastic Nepalese restaurant in Kidlington. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. There was plenty of choice on the menu, including fish, lamb, and chicken, as well as vegetarian options. I would highly recommend this restaurant as you will not be disappointed. ?????

The service was disappointing, and the response from the restaurant was poor. They delivered an incomplete order with a missing food item and directed me to contact Uber Eats instead of addressing the issue themselves. I specifically requested cutlery since I?m staying at a hotel where the restaurant is closed, but they failed to accommodate this basic request. The least they could have done was respond politely and show some courtesy towards their customers. Additionally, the food tasted very basic, overly salty, and highly unsatisfactory overall.

Had a meal in the restaurant with family, absolutely brilliant food & service. We also had a takeaway tonight again absolutely fantastic food.

Came here for a family meal, as highly recommended, very very busy, attentive staff who were very accommodating, clean establishment, food i ordered i didn't enjoy ( dumplings) not to my personal taste, but the rest of my family throughly enjoyed

Absolutely crackin food, I had the salmon and oh my gosh, it was amazing. My partner had the shangrila chicken which was also very good. Would definitely eat here again.

Food was overly spicy, can't even feel the taste but only chillies. Staff was good and ambience also. But didn't like the food at all, bit expensive also. Chicken Biryani pieces hard to chewed, lamb tastes not the restaurant level.
