Very lovely hotel which has just had a £3 million refurbishment and looks amazing for it. Attention to detail was spot on. The rooms are beautifully done, the bathrooms have underfloor heating and the bar / lounge area are lovely places to sit. The staff are friendly and helpful and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was also very nice. Will definitely stay here again.Rooms: Great views over the Thames, these rooms have been beautifully designed and the bathroom was really stylish too with underfloor heating.Nearby activities: Henley is such a lovely place to visit, with lots of old buildings and history. We visited the Bremont Watch factory just 5 minute drive from the hotel

Lovely hotel with very nice staff. Our room was in the eves, very clean with a large shower room, but it had large low beams over the bed which my husband kept banging his head on. The service was a bit slow, we waited over half an hour for a tea tray and bottle of water. People were very nice and helpful with my 90 year old mother but the walkway to her room through the courtyard was full of trip hazards. Breakfast was serve yourself and very nicely cooked. Big down side was no parking, which we knew about but hadn't realised the distance to parking. Mother has a disabled badge but there wasn't always space at the front of the hotel so then I had to leave her whilst I parked and walked back.

Visited for coffee. A very pleasant hotel, recently refurbished. A warm and sunny day, so coffee was taken outside in the courtyard.Good service, and excellent tasting coffee.

Can't find fault with The Relais. The building has been beautifully refurbished, the rooms are comfortable, arguably the best location in the town, being right on the river next to the bridge, food is excellent, staff are top notch and even the management team are helpful and responsive.Henley itself is a lovely little town with dozens of places to eat and beautiful walks along the river. If you want a wonderful weekend away, I can't recommend The Relais highly enough.

Great food caringly prepared and cooked, and sometimes live music is played out on the patio. Service was excellent. Rooms are modern. Location is fantastic by the river.

Staying on holiday in Henley on Thames we had a walk in breakfast at the beautiful Relais Hotel. We were greeted by Rishi and Stephan who made our breakfast one to remember for all the right reasons. Rishi's customer service is at the pinicle of what customer service should be, nothing was too much trouble , and he made our experience very special. Next time we stay in Henley we look forward to staying at the Relais.

We chose to spend the weekend for my wife's birthday in Henley on Thames and decided to stay at The Relais Hotel. The hotel was beautiful and the bed linen was as expected high standard as were the beds. As we are members of the famous private dining club Mosimann's in London's Belgravia who have an association, due to this we decide to dine at the Hotel Restaurant as a special treat. I have to say it didn't disappoint, amazing is the best way of putting it, with wonderful service. BREAKFAST in comparison was appalling, terrible service, took an age to arrive and unfortunately, my wife asked for Poached Eggs and was specific that they needed to be medium as she cannot eat them if they were too runny. THEY ARRIVED RUNNY she sent them back and the Bald Waiter, said point blank that he would not take them back, as that's how they come FULL STOP. I took this up with the Hotel Manager, a smart Indian chap, however that was it, never heard another thing, no apology NOTHING, ZIP, APALLING. Last Time for us and will certainly pass this onto Anton Mosimann next time I see him. David Goodman
