I visited for my annual checkup and was welcomed warmly. I had a full examination under the Eyeplan scheme, all checks carried out and the results explained.

Great service with Eyeplan. Second eye test within a few months. Problem explained, solution offered and replacement glasses going to be provided as the thread had gone on one arm.Highly recommend Ivan Cammack??first class optician, standards haven?t varied in all the years I have been a patient!

I?ve always wanted to support smaller businesses, but i cannot bare this company any longer.Multiple mistakes with booking appointments resulting in me taking time off work at great expense and inconvenience. When i did buy glasses i was contacted to make an appointment for a fitting only to arrive and the glasses not even be there. More wasted time. Again very little in the way of an apology. Time and time again.After making a formal complaint and cancelling my eye plan (monthly direct debits to cover eye tests and discounted frames) i was told as an apology they?d I?ve me a free eye test. When i said it wasn?t free and that i had paid for it over the previous 14 months of eye plan membership and payments, they didn?t even acknowledge it.They finally offered a 50% Reduction on frame rrp, i visited the store to find it was closed for a training day. I was asked to let them know when i would be visiting so they could help better but decided id rather call in ad hoc. As expected no help provided and felt the reception staff were particularly uninterested. Being tattooed and not a wearer of glasses unless working i always feel uncomfortable and that I?m being looked down upon.I left, And emailed politely to decline the offer and had no return email.With better service and far better price being provided at other independent opticians in Thame, as well as they big players like specsavers, i for one wont be returning to Ivan Cammack. Ever.
