I so wanted this place to be good, it just felt like it should be, but sadly it was not.
Firstly, the coffee was £3, for this I would expect it to be from an expresso machine. It was not. No idea how it was made, but it was not barista level coffee. I poured most of it in the bush.
Next, despite an extensive menu, no cakes. People like coffee and cake.
Thirdly, the whole place was just not looked after, empty cups on tables, cigarette butts in ash trays on tables. Just not a nice environment.
Finally the chap serving. Not unfriendly, but not friendly either.
The old horse box that serves as the kitchen is really nicely painted and is so inviting, but the actual products are sadly lacking.
On a Saturday afternoon, we were the only customers.
This place has SO much potential, but it is just not being managed and run well, such a shame.
This could be a gold mine with a few changes.
On the opposite bank of the canel were loads of walkers and families. They should have all been sat in this cafe !

world class canalside cafe. just experiencing food coma after the triple decker breakfast sandwich. (middle slice was fried bread). top quality, highly recommend.

Quirky place, stopped on the bikes to grab a drink. I ordered a fancy burger and when it came, there were no complaints from me. Everything about it was perfect. Definitely going to stop there again.

Unusual setting, bric-à-brac for sale, car boot sale appearance the tea was in cardboard cups £12 for tea and hot chocolate so pricey, very bohemian setting, mixed matched furniture, but nice to be by the water and see the narrow boats going up and down, I?d pop in if you?re passing worth a visit

Wayne makes the yummiest of Burgers!! Quite simply the best and what a fabulous spot for a lovely relaxing time. More than worth a visit and a bite!

Had the vegan boxes with fries, kebab, & salad. It was pretty tasty, but very oily and salty. Definitely not health food. But it was warm, and there was plenty of it; welcome on a slightly rainy day on the canal. The atmosphere is very laid-back behemian, and while we were there, a man and woman who played piano and bass viol mounted on bicycle wheels sang while pedalling around the area.
