A beautiful place to take a break when visiting the ancient sites of the Uffington White Horse, Hillfort, Dragon Ridge and Wayland's Smithy.
We walked in, no prior booking, got a great table (for four) under the low beams, and had excellent food.
Lovely welcoming staff.
All round a great experience in a beautiful setting.
Highly recommended.

We didn?t book a table as it was early, but although 98% of the tables were reserved throughout the evening, we were still accommodated.
Fabulous food and drink for my son and I
So pleased to see the pub and accommodation thriving and booked out
Thoroughly deserved
Thank you for the ambience and lovely evening

I've been traveling the UK (top to bottom!) doing research for my next book about ancestral memory in the Land. Loved this small village inn and pub in Woolstone. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, great shower. Food was good, and they play great music in the pub, too! Their signature drink, the Blue Pony (sweet sister to the White Horse), invented by George, was lovely after a long day of hiking. 5 stars, give this place a try!
Nearby activities: White Horse of Uffington and Dragon Hill walking distance through lovely landscape and charming auld homes
Noteworthy details: Ask for George, she's fabulous!
