The hotel was clean and well presented. I didn't eat there as I thought £15 each for breakfast was overpriced. There was a wedding taking place on Saturday in the hotel which I was informed about when checking in.
Unfortunately I was disturbed when trying to sleep as a group of teenagers were running riot around the hotel including climbing up the fire escape staircases and screaming and shouting inside the corridors where hotel guests were staying who were not wedding guests until after 1am . The following morning as I was leaving the hotel I spoke to some of the other guests in the hotel lift who were also disturbed as I was and were disappointed with the noise the wedding guests teenagers were allowed to rampage through the hotel in the early hours of the morning disturbing other guests trying to sleep.

We had A very rude Male waiter there . I asked if he wanted us leave mid way through our meal and his response was ?it was up to us ?

What a lovely setting for this hotel! The grounds are beautifully maintained with walking paths among the flower beds.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in . So old and dirty . The bedroom smelt damp and old . No wardrobe, just a plank of wood with some hangers on it.
The toilet seat just slams as it?s not soft closing, tiny little toilet toiletries in the bathroom not enough for two people.. in our room the window had one of the handles missing the remote control was filthy.
I didn?t even want to touch it.
The bathroom had a big yellow stains on the floor like it was all worn away. The carpet had stains on it. The bedframe had stains on it overall it was filthy.. The bathroom had bad marks in it my husband said it was rust
The lift was the worst thing I?ve seen that floor was so heavily stained, and the actual lift was disgusting.
The corridor that we were in our room 303 and the corridor smelt of urin. Dirty stains on the doors. Not clean at all .
We only stayed for one night, thank goodness..
The breakfast with nothing exciting not very inviting. Poor selection.
A very cold atmosphere.
We were out on our first night when we arrive back at the hotel at 12am we had to wait for 15 minutes outside for someone to answer the door and when the man came, he said the doorbell was broken and the battery was dead. This is not good enough.
I have taken a few photos. Booked this through virgin I will be telling them about all the complaints I have. I would give this hotel 1 star. Not like photos on web page

The staff are rude and unhelpful, we paid for a garden room which overlooked overgrown bushes and a wall. (pictured)
We were pre-warned there was a wedding to be held on the night of our stay which we accepted as we were told music would be off at 23:00 however this proceeded into early hours with children running along the halls and banging on doors
The room carpets were stained and the bed was fraying! (pictured) The Bathroom was ridiculously small! To access the toilet you had to stand against the sink and suck in while moving around the door frame! (pictured).
Utterly disappointed with our stay and will never be returning! Maybe the owner should consider new staff and better advertising to present what customers are really receiving on their stay!

Lovely Calm Hotel. Perfect after a long work day at the Airport.
The reams are in an old fashion way, and the heating system is Astonisching good.
I did not expect that.
The Breakfast ist Easy-british, and on request you can get eggs, in different ways from the lovely team, and the Night Portier is an awesome person.
The good bus connection to Oxford makes it also a good place to be.
Little charming stores are located in 2 Minutes walk, and by good weather, having a beer in the garden of the hotel, or in the middle of the village is perfectly suitable.
For those that can't spare having a car, you can park the car for free and for the electriccar-users you have two charging ports that can recharge it.
Overall, I can only raccomand it.

Average hotel, lacked any character and amenities. Was very quiet, but staff were attentive and friendly. Beds very comfortable, but room lacked hair dryer, iron etc.

We are writing to express our profound disappointment with our recent stay. We traveled from London for a relaxing bank holiday weekend and booked a two-night stay. Upon arrival on Friday evening, our stay was immediately impacted by a loud wedding event that persisted late into the night. We also found the room to be unclean and the water pressure to be severely inadequate, no extra towel was provided and we were unable to shower due to the poor water flow and the whole hotel there was a false smell, or the room was very bad smelling, When we requested a room change or compensation to address the water flow issue, our requests were denied due to limited availability on friday. Consequently, being unable to take shower properly we were forced to leave on Saturday afternoon and secure alternative accommodation in Oxford, incurring substantial unexpected costs. In addition, for future reference, the town itself offers limited attractions, and Oxford is a 35-minute drive away, presenting challenges for evening entertainment

Fantastic Hotel and facilities but let down but tired rooms.stayed in better rooms in a Premier inn for half the price.loved the gardens tho so may pitch tent in there next time.
