Disappointed with our visit. The food isn't nice but the waitress we had was lovely and very helpful. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go again. A shame as its a lovely building and great location.

Met with friends here and chose it because it was easy to get to for all of us and advertised itself as dog friendly. We enjoyed a lovely meal - a very varied menu. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. All of the staff were attentive and helpful. I will definitely eat here again and would recommend the Evenlode to anyone.

Disappointing doesn?t even cover it. My 13 year old daughter was served a meal that fell below standard today . When we complained and asked for my ( now very hungry) daughter to have a small bowl of chips as a good will gesture, the chef refused and made it clear that we would have to pay for the chips in addition to the dried up unappetising pizza. The waitress demonstrated good customer service to us having tried to negotiate with the chef on our behalf. The management ( the chef ) however dismissed us completely. We felt under valued by the very poor management . We would not return and advise that this pub is not one to visit until there is a new chef / management in place!

Couldn't have asked for a better wedding reception!
The Evenlode hosted a truly fantastic wedding reception for us on 05/07/25. Everything ran very smoothly, the food was incredible, and the price of the package very very reasonable. In the run up we coordinated with Hollie, the Events Manager, who was responsive, flexible, and had great ideas too. We cannot recommend this venue enough, and had such an incredible time. If you're getting married in the Oxford area, definitely check it out.
It also does fantastic food when you're not getting married...

Rooms were very nice and clean and the staff were very polite and accommodating. Whilst the food was OK we felt it was a bit on the pricey side but that was just our opinion. Plenty of parking. We stayed here whilst visiting the farmers dog and it was very easy to get to from here and one of the cheapest hotels we saw locally. The beds etc were excellent for the price we paid.

Attended a wedding at the Evenlode and it was fantastic in every way! The service, the food and the ambiance were wonderful and I would highly recommend to anyone in the Oxford area.

Pleasant service, but not particularly quick. Food not brilliant, dry and luke warm. 12% service charge, which doesn't seem to be stated on the menu. Despite the staff being pleasant, we wouldn't visit again.

Visited the Evenlode twice over Easter weekend, as they were offering family fun activities. The staff were so friendly and great with the kids. We'll definitely be going back!
