The Sunday lunch is a lovely outing into beautiful country gardens. The lunch is a generous helping and tasty home style cooked meal. I had the short ribs and it was fall off the bone tender. The meal was bulked up with chicken that was also tasty but I could have done without it as what I wanted was short rib, I would far have preferred another rib. The vegetables and rice were cooked well and the gravy was very tasty. The roasted beetroot was the star of the vegetables.
To finish off the meal I had Malva pudding and custard.
The staff was super friendly and very attentive.
If you are after fine dining this is not it however if you feel like is a really relaxing Sunday lunch that is filling and delicious, and is also great for the whole family from Granny to the babies this very pretty venue makes for a nice outing. Personally if the weather is good I would choose to sit at a table in the garden as the gardens are well maintained and beyound beautiful in a rustic manner. The very well large old trees also provide great shade.

An amazing find hidden in beautiful countryside
Well designed outside seating surrounded by gorgeous flowers producing a plethora of colours and scents.
Restaurant is split level arranged to give maximum space to diners.
The meal was very much 5* and enjoyed by my wife and myself.
Staff were pleasant and professional which enhanced our visit.
We will definitely visit again very soon.

A stunning village pub with a french flavour. Chef-owned, the food is thoughtful, beautifully presented and delicious. Outside, the space is bursting with colour from flowers galore. Well worth a visit.

The four of us had excellent lunchtime meals, served by helpful and attentive staff. We enjoyed dining in the comfort of the main restaurant, well done to the Team at the Moon & Sixpence. We shall be back .

superb food/beer and immaculate gardens , flowers everywhere a lot of hard work to make it look so good , if after food expect a wait and maybe book in advance as this place is well known for great food

We went last night and had an amazing meal! The staff were so welcoming from the start and the service was excellent! Me and my partner both really enjoyed our food and can definitely recommend the pork belly and the steak ?? will definitely return next time we are in the area!

Female and eating alone, bar staff and wait staff both young but absolutely fab, very professional. Had salmon nicoise salad, perfect after 32°c heat today, beautifully presented and tasty, followed by vanilla creme brulee.....what's not to love.
