I have nothing but praise for service that a have been given by Raphael and Jo in particular. They sorted me out with some new glasses and repaired my old ones on the spot. My new glasses took about 2 weeks to come in but I was advised this would be the case and they messaged me when they were ready to collect, great service.

Firstly, the positive......Hue Jones, the Audiologists based in Witney was totally professional. I couldn't fault his attitude and eagerness to try and make the hearing aid work. Through weeks of trying, I was unable to use the hearing aid.Now the negative.....Their returns policy is a joke (70 days money back guarantee). Through so many phone calls and the anticipation for the "I'll get someone to call you back" promises, it took about 3 weeks. With help and guidance from Citizens Advice (a case was opened against Scrivens), eventually the refund appeared. Head Office were as bad, never returning any of our calls and could never give a straight answer to a simple question of where's my refund. Will never use Scrivens again.

Wernt clear that the treatment was £60. Shocked that a 20min procedure costs this much.

Great to find an optician that has amazing customer service

Looked for my notes under the wrong name. Broke the "count the dots" eye test machine. Couldn't take a card payment. Took an hour. Optician was great though. Assistant manager having a bad morning?

I'm very disappointed with the service I received from Scrivens Opticians. For starters, I made an appointment online for my three children. After waiting for weeks, someone called me just before the appointment to cancel the dates booked, with no credible reason(s) given. We rescheduled for another date in June (over a month after the first appointment date). After the appointment, the glasses took about another ten days to arrive at the store, and we had to make another trip for the fitting. To our surprise and dismay, there was no optician available to see us. We waited for some time on the shop floor and were told to go and come back. We went away and came back and still no optician available but behold, about four or five people were working around in suits on the shop floor. It appears there are many cooks in the kitchen, but the food is not great. We eventually left the shop disappointed with no glasses after they had since taken money from us. It appears they are quick to take the money and less keen on delivering the service people pay for. The delay meant that i missed a meeting with a client and fees lost.My wife even went there a few days later with the kids to collect the glasses. Still, unfortunately, they came back empty-handed as there was no optician to see them.Up to this day of writing this review, the children have still not received their glasses. Overall, disappointing service, no apologies from them, no phone call, and no concern for their customers. I will warn my family and friends not to use this company.

Never an optician available, expensive, make multiple errors (incorrect prescriptions and manufacturing errors) and glasses took weeks to finally arrive. Complain and they couldn't care less - they have your money which is all they care about.Avoid like the plague.Update: asked to contact customer support email after they read this review. We had already done that THREE times with ranges from no response to replies which fobbed off any complaints with a "Scrivens cant be bothered" attitude. What a pointless company.

Sadly I ignored the plentiful negative reviews about this company's terrible after-sales service and shopped with them anyway, in an attempt to avoid Specsavers and Vision Express, who's service also seems to be at an all-time low as they are focussed on sales only and not the customer, which in 2019 is an extremely archaic way to approach business.Scrivens unfortunately have followed suit, and made the decision to refute my complaint, as hiding behind a vague and general disclaimer has saved their sales figures this week. The true measure of customer care is after the sale has taken place. The manager was my best friend when I agreed to pay £429, but as soon as I was dissatisfied with what he had pledged to me, he played a game, playing the 'disclaimer' and 'head office said no' cards repeatedly until I had to leave the store and go back to work. The essence of great customer service is to empathise with the person and not only the problem, however unlucky for me he was interested in my £429 only, and used every trick in the book to get rid of me. The lasting affect of my experience will be to deter my friends, family and colleagues from using this company by all means available to me. Poor show Didcot branch.
