The hotel is so cozy and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. You also can?t beat the location if you?re looking to be in a more peaceful and quiet part of the Cotswolds while still being close to the more touristy villages. Oh, and the breakfast selection is perfection!

A typically lovely Cotswolds pub, which we stopped at to have a light lunch, the food was nice but expensive and the choice of real ales limited.
Service was good. Polite staff but another Cotswolds pub that promises much but slightly under delivers.

Can't comment on the hotel, only the restaurant. Lovely space, very attentive staff. We had the tasting menu and the food was very good. Ultimately we had a lovely evening and I can recommend this place for sure.
The only quibble I would say is that given the price point it's probably not quite where it wants or needs to be to fully justify it. There were one or two courses that were fine but not amazing (the jersey royal and the strawberry yoghurt), though others that were very good indeed (the tomato, the lamb and the pistachio dessert). The service was generally very good but a few small things let them down. One was that they rang us up beforehand to confirm our booking and asked about allergies, I explained my partner has a nut allergy. They also double checked this at the table, which was reassuring. However, when the second dessert course arrived for her it was pistachio-based. The whole thing was dealt with with minimal fuss and a replacement was brought out promptly so not a major deal but shouldn't really have happened given the checks they themselves had put in place if nothing else.
In short, very good food, a few niggles mean that the value isn't quite there but if you want a nice evening out with good food in a nice location then you're unlikely to complain!

We went here for dinner. The service (lead by Nathan) was exceptionally polite and attentive. The food, although limited to a few items, was exceptional. A truly memorable experience.

Beautiful place, great service (Erina was amazing hostess) but the food was poor, lacking in flavour and was disappointing.

Excellent meal! If they?re still serving the Barkham blue cheese and you?re into that kind of thing, I highly recommend it!
Odd request for a future diner: would someone tell me the name of the flatware manufacturer they use? The forks and spoons were unusually satisfying. Thanks!

Restaurant only review:
New Chef Callum Graham did an incredible job. We opted for the a la carte instead of the tasting menu as we only wanted some light bites for lunch. Use the spoon! Chefs sauces are impeccable. Every element of the dishes are well thought out and executed flawlessly. Inventive and fun dishes utilizing local produce. The slow cooked hens egg was amazing (ham was a bit salty for us, but as expected). Favorite dish was the Daylesford Market Garden Tomato (incredibly refreshing on a hot day) and the Rabbit Raviolo was a close second. Highly recommend!!!
