Pretty disgusted with my experience. I bought myself some lunch totalling almost £4. When I got to the till I was told I?d not spent enough and the minimum was £6. I questioned why it was so high and the response was ?because I have to pay for it otherwise?. I?m sorry but the fee is set out by % with most providers and also most providers state that you mustn?t set any minimum or maximum limit. With that said, stating that you will have to pay to your customers as a reason for such a high minimum spend is unprofessional, you need to have that conversation with your providers not customers spending money. It?s also not very transparent having the minimum spend not visible as soon as a customer enters the shop, it?s embarrassing. I?m going to contact the card provider. Also, you should note that the card networks rules state that ?any merchant excepting their cards cannot set a maximum or minimum limit.? Setting a minimum spend on card payments is a violation of these rules and can result in a hefty fee or account suspension.Thanks for the embarrassment and I?m sure you?ll here from the card network soon. P.s, one of the customers in your shop agreed it was very unfair.

I needed cash as my cards wouldn't work. Friendly staff and a reasonable selection of convenient products. Also has a post office.
