Home away from home! There is no better place than the Cafe de la Post! This quintessential little cafe is made very special by the even more special ladies who run it. Tracy, Carolyn and La are the soul of this place and Tracy is the pillar holding it all together.Living in Charlbury, we discovered the Cafe during lockdown. It was where we got our takeaways coffees and sat across the road on the little hill soaking up the view. Since then, it is a must go at the weekend and we SO miss it if we can?t go.The services it provides to the community from newspaper subscriptions to postal deliveries and beyond, make it a vital part of Chadlington.Oh yes, and the food? honest homemade food, priced at a decent price to serve the local community. Delicious homemade cakes, great choice of wines and treats and basic groceries available. It?s a gem!!

Fantastic local village shop doing everything a village would need. Had a good coffee and nice chocolate slice. Friendly staff and warm welcome. Well worth a drop in if your passing.

Love the bacon they do here. My only gripe is that some of the staff stop serving an hour before the displayed closing time to ?clean up? obviously they want to leave dead on the closing time. If that?s the case, just change the opening hours to an hour before. Will definitely return though, just an hour earlier.

Cute little cafe, good cake, good coffee. Nice range of grocery essentials and very good wine range for something so small.

We had take away pizza - including a Gluten Free version (slightly smaller). They were all great with excellent dough and toppings. Thanks very much.

Visited Diddly Squat Farm - Horrendous queues (but fun place) so skipped the line to this tiny cafe / shop in Chadlington. What a find! Fantastic made to order sausage & bacon baguette. Easy parking and no wait. Great that such places still exist. A tardis.

I 'found' this cafe/shop by Googling 'dog-friendly cafe near Chipping Norton' - wow what a fab find. They were very dog friendly but also people friendly as well. I was intending to only have a coffee (before collecting my parents from nearby Heythrop Hall) but the bacon baguette looked so appealing I just had to indulge! My little dog sat quietly under the table, ignoring the other 3 or 4 dogs under other tables. Unbeknown to me & subsequently quite irrelevant there is apparently some bloke who used to be on the telly has a farm shop nearby - no interest to me but what a fab find was the little shop/coffee shop. I wish these 2 ladies all the very best for a successful venture and thank them for being so dog-friendly.

An outstanding cafe. We stopped for a very welcoming lunch whilst out on a bike ride, followed by some excellent coffee and cake. The staff were very friendly and were happy to refill bottles. Prices are amazingly reasonable.

A wonderful cafe with helpful friendly staff who were more than happy to help a group of cyclists. During the UK Audax Air Mail 200km we stopped here for the halfway point of the ride. Beautiful cakes, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks. Outside seating was nice with grass verge opposite in the Winter sunshine it really was a perfect stop. Thank you to the staff who were brilliant and for the much needed rest.

Stopped for a coffee while on a bike ride. Being early spring I sat inside in the warmth. Very nice cappachino! Friendly staff, and excellent service.
