I cant fault the surgery. The staff are under so much pressure and get so much abuse themselves. Think about what they might sometimes be going through. Do you really think it is their fault that at 8am hundreds of people are trying to get through with two receptionists and two doctors avalible all day cause the government wont fund anymore. They are only human trying to do a job. I wouldn't want to do it these days, that's for sure!!My experiences have been amazing with them and yes I might have to press redial over 200 times and I might get through and wait ages in a queue, but when I get through they are always helpful and do what they can to insure my clinical needs are met. It's not just this surgery, this is the story for most of them.Thank you Broadshires for your continued support in a very difficult environment to work in these days.

I?m a little shocked and saddened that so many patients struggle with getting timely appointments. I do share some of the frustrations with rude receptionists and diabolical waiting times, however once I was through the door I have been taken care of by one of the best Dr?s in the surgery, Dr Alberts.I have always been treated with respect and even on my worse days I am give only the best care possible, often going over my appointment time but never made to feel rushed or like I?m wasting their time. Many of the other doctors are also really lovely, clearly understaffed but still trying their best.I wouldn?t go anywhere else.

Absolutely disgraceful medical practice they just don't give you a face to face appointment I feel this is all a plot to force people to go private as they can't blame it on Covid anymore.

Absolutely useless, can't make an appointment online, can't email them, barely get them to answer their phone,I had to wait 2 months for an over the phone appointment, have taken the day off to sort it out as I couldn't take it at work, and 4 and a half hours later, still no contact,I will not be telling anyone to go here, I understand that GP's are overwhelmed sometimes, but this is not the only time this has happened to me, I will be going elsewhere

On the rare occasion this doctors surgery is brilliant and fast, however for the most part unfortunately they?re not, the phone lines are always busy or you?re on hold for ages, and even if you do get through you can?t book an appointment. For me personally, recently I found a lump, and for the last 3 weeks I?ve been desperately trying to get it checked by the doctor here, it?s worrying and frustrating that I can?t have my mind either put to rest or get the appropriate help?Edit 2/1/24 : cannot for the life of me get seen by a doctor for what I think is an allergic reaction to something I?m coming into contact with, constantly being told to ?monitor it? for the last 2 months?

Rude receptionists who think they are doctors themselves, questioning our parenting.Been there 4 times now for our little one who's just turned one with a constant chesty cough and every time being told it's 'viral'.On the third occasion they didn't even check him, didn't look to back of throat or anything. Just say it's teething or viral, the easy way out basically.Ended up going to hospital and finding out he had tonsillitis and had to have antibiotics. All this could of be diagnosed at the surgery, we was even told at the hospital, the checks could of been done there.Overall just terrible attitude all the way through the surgery. Will be moving to the Bampton Surgery as we have heard a lot better things.

Absolutely shocking receptionist when trying to get my daughter seen urgently after a trip to out of hours Drs last night. Been made to feel like it's my fault they have no space and questioned on my parenting choices. Rude and no patient care considered.

I have to say that although I don?t always have the best experience as an adult with the way the NHS is at the moment, my kids have always been able to be seen and get quick treatment at the Broadshires. With the staff being so overwhelmed and having to deal with negative comments daily, they do try their best and are mostly professional and helpful. I cannot fault them at all. Thank you so much for a reassuring service when we need it the most

I have always had excellent treatment from broadshires and the GPs who work there :)

Visited here as had a telephone consultation and had some samples too drop off . I was met by the rudest receptionist (care Co ordinator)-Fran she was loud , abrupt and huffing and puffing as though she really didn't want too be there . The guy that was seen before me I don't know how he put up with the way she spoke too him . One of the receptionist had too apologise on her behalf as she was so embarrassed. Maybe more customer service training, when people are visiting the doctors you are most of the time feeling vulnerable and just want a kind voice and a bit of empathy not too be spoken too like your an inconvenience.

Before the Pandemic, the Surgery had been very good, both in service and attitude of Reception staff and our GP was excellent. During the Pandemic, however, everything changed. Reception staff really rude - one of them humiliated me in front of other people in the waiting room all because I was unable to wear a mask due to my Autism and I was wearing a Sunflower lanyard to show I was exempt from wearing a face mask. Luckily my GP came to the rescue by calling me in to her consulting room. In 2021, I came out as a Transman, having lived and identified as a Transman since August 2020, but this was not acknowledged by my GP and I got no support from her. Last January I started Hormone Treatment via a private source, but my GP would not cooperate with the provider and then ticked me off for daring to start Hormone Treatment when I made her aware of this. She even failed to correctly make a referral to the Gender Identity Clinic, having forgotten that I was a returning patient. Only a few months earlier, she had criticised me for cancelling a hospital appointment because they were insisting that I had to wear a mask at the hospital and I had to test negative for COVID. No understanding of Autism at all. Even when I was suffering with my gallbladder and had to have It removed urgently, there was no support. The Receptionist was very rude to me in one phone call, alleging that I had sworn at her, which was not true and my partner confirmed it. The Receptionist said the Manager would listen to the call and decide who was right, but backed down when my partner spoke to her and said that I had not sworn at her. Complained twice, but Manager didn't respond. My details were not updated due to moving house, even though my partner's were, so when I got the prescription for the Hormone Treatment made up, it was still to my old address and remained thus until the Pharmacy physically changed it on the database. And this was long after I switched surgeries in May 2022 because I was so unhappy with the clinic's attitude towards me. Complained to the Manager again, but to date no proper response from her. New surgery updated all my details etc., and I am very happy with them. Have referred the complaints to NHS England now.

Called up and received a callback within 30 minutes. Got a same-day appointment and went in about an hour and a half later. The doctor was professional and personable, and I was in and out within 15 minutes
