Rooms are fine and tea/coffee facilities are great after a long drive to get there! It?s not worth getting a room with a bath, as the bath is too shallow to enjoy a soak. What I liked the most was the Starbucks opposite! There?s also plenty of

I recently had a stay at Travelodge during my 2-night business trip. On the morning of September 29th, I encountered a challenge securing a taxi to Oxford train station at 9am, a crucial time before my journey to Scotland. Despite a list of recommended taxi numbers, finding a ride seemed impossible, leaving me with only an hour and a half before my train departure. The staff at Travelodge demonstrated exceptional service during this stressful moment. While grappling with the uncertainty of a stranger offering a lift (phoned my mobile after another driver passed on my number), a young gentleman at the reception displayed remarkable attentiveness and concern for my safety, ensuring my security by documenting the individual's contact information and car registration. This proactive and caring approach put my worries at ease, showcasing the staff member's dedication to guest well-being.Although the situation with the taxi driver later revealed discrepancies and a push for cash payment, the actions of the Travelodge employee were truly commendable. His quick thinking and genuine care for my safety went beyond the call of duty. I am immensely grateful for his efforts and believe he is a testament to the values and ethics upheld by Travelodge. I have no doubt that he makes both the company and his family immensely proud.I will undoubtedly remember this positive experience and exceptional service, making Travelodge my preferred choice for future travels. Please convey my sincere appreciation to this remarkable staff member for his outstanding caring nature and willingness to go above and beyond for the guests.Safety: The hotel NEEDS a sign/signpost!! Myself and other colleagues struggled to find the entrance, making several trips around the roundabout.

Staff not knowing what they are doing with pre booked rooms. Rooms smell of damp and unable to open curtains. Given a disabled room which was not needed and there were plenty of other rooms available. Loud as I was by the front door and could gear everything that was happening in reception.

2 stars is being kind.I stayed for two nights with family members to which we requested two rooms next to each other and the receptionist stated it was ?not in the system?. Found a stained towel hanging on the back of bathroom door, mould sitting on the edge of bathtub and a hair sitting on the sink. Stayed on the first floor so the view from the window was just a patch of green.Walls are thin so noise travels easily across rooms. No lock on the bathroom door. Cheap 1 ply toilet paper and breakfast is not all that. Kept kicking us off the Wi-Fi even though we were using the paid voucher system. Was only two sockets (neither by the side of the bed) so having to switch out devices all the time. Overpriced for the short period of time we stayed. Only good thing is there is always enough spaces in the car park right next to the Starbucks. Staff were friendly but, didn?t make up for the fact that we didn?t have a good time.

Bathroom badly needs fully updating, it's old with black mould & a moulded floor in bad shape smelled musty. Room although it looked clean from the entrance door, again smelled musty. Like dogs had been in the room. Bed sheets were like creat paper & towels stained, Window looks out to a fire escape had lots of trash with broken bottles. Not ideal lazy house keeping. As we were only there one night arrived late / left early it would have been a chore to try & change rooms. So we endured it would have spoken to staff on exit however as they were smoking just outside the main entrance, I did not want to engage any further. Overall a very tired place that needs fully updating with a staff attitude adjustment. Could do much better! Travellodge sent multiple requests for feed back then no reply once sent. I would say In my opinion this is a brand damaging experience as my partner vowed to never stay at a travellodge ever again! For once I am in agreement.

The rooms need updating, the bathroom was full of mould - but otherwise the room was clean. Sadly on the second floor for a family booking, but we made it work.Staff all very friendly, location is great (Starbucks outside and the town is amazing) so overall a great hotel.

What an awful hotel. Dirty, the floor was so grim, no lift, saw people literally been carried up stairs. Tiny fan for large room with short lead and no plugs by bed so couldn?t have it close when sleeping. Bathroom was dirty and no room to sit on toilet. Staff though AMAZING.

We booked the room at 10:45pm as the next stop on our road trip was the Cotswolds. When we arrived, the man at the desk didn?t acknowledge us at the door when we tried to check in at 11:45pm. I pressed the buzzer and he still didn?t even look in our direction or say anything to let us know he had opened the door. He kept saying we didn?t have a booking but I showed him the confirmation number. He then said there were only two rooms but they were dirty so he would clean one. He had not checked the booking system for over an hour and therefore missed that we had booked the room. He said he?d be 10-15 minutes. We waited in reception for him for 40 minutes, tired and cold after a long drive from Brighton. Then when we did get into the room at 00:25am the smell was absolutely awful and he had opened both windows really wide. It was cold by this time of night and we wanted to close the windows but one doesn?t close properly and we were in ground level so didn?t feel comfortable with it open. The carpet was covered in fluff and dirt and hadn?t been vacuumed in a long time. One of my pillows had a big stain on it and one of the coffee cups had a ring of coffee still in it. The bathroom has dust and cobwebs around the edge of the floor which led me to believe this room just doesn?t get cleaned at all as the water from the shower normally gets on the floor near it. We had no towels so could not take a shower and after using the bathroom the door would not open and the hook fell off when trying to open it. Had there been only one of us staying here we would have been trapped in the bathroom as the door could only be forced open from the outside. It was absolutely awful from the second we arrived, we would never use this travel lodge again.

Worst Travel Lodge I've stayed in tbh. Receptionist couldn't have been less interested, no welcome, no info about hotel. Room just okay, no air con or anything on the windows to mean you could have curtains open for light without people in the car park being able to see directly into the room. Bathroom tired and didn't look very clean due to tired fittings. For £140, expected a lot more.

The Travelodge at Burford is a great place to stay, very convenient just a short walk from Burford town centre. Parking at the hotel is easy. Our room was spacious and very quiet. Burford itself is a nice place to visit. Would come again

Standard Travelodge. Rooms are decent size. All with en suite shower over bath.Nice comfy king bed. Desk area and tea and coffee available in rooms. Hanging space for clothes and three little shelves for clothes. My room smelt of damp dog, but as I was only in it for sleeping, i left the window open and kept my Scentsy Go (room scenter) get to work. Other than that, clean enough and team were friendly and helpful. We had ordered breakfast boxes every morning to take away with us, but on the last morning, they ran out. Not sure how this occurred but again, luckily we were able to source breakfast elsewhere at 5am when we were due to leave.Starbucks opposite the hotel and a nice pub/restaurant just off the roundabout.A short walk to the middle of the village to shops. But walk back is up a steep hill. Be advised. ?Rooms: Enough space in rooms and beds nice and comfy. En suite rooms with shower over bath. Hand soap and shower gel provided in dispensers. Towels and bedding provided.

Extremely friendly staff. Lovely location. Really peaceful nights sleep. We had a wedding near by and this was exactly what we needed. The Starbucks right beside it was convenient. There was a lovely pub over the round about that we went to for breakfast, I would highly recommend. We went to the world of crocodiles which was a brilliant little addition to out overnight stay in the area.

Compared to other travel lodges - the Burford one is a gem! Staff are amazing, friendly, welcoming and I?ve had 3 stays here in 3 months for work. The rooms have always been spotless and smell fresh. Safe location when lone travelling for work. Also a fabulous pub across the road for food.

Always use this Travelodge for the Air Tattoo. Good parking, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and the best showers I?ve ever had in any hotel! It?s a short walk into Burford and that?s worth it for the view as you walk into the town at the top of the hill.

Pleasant, clean hotel - did the job. Slightly obscured behind Starbucks, but we found it eventually! Plenty of free parking; friendly staff and very conveniently located for a short walk to Burford High Street.
