Had food here today with my partner who i proposed to in the beer garden as is was so lovely. Staff was amazing and helpful, food was amazing. Thanks guys for a wonderful memory

Stopped for a drink, served by a very unhelpful surly barman. Sat in the garden which is very unkempt. Reasonably priced.

Lovely location and beautiful gardens. We enjoyed our stay at the Lamb Inn. The highlight was the wonderful breakfasts and dinners at the restaurant. Staff was amazing and service was top notch. We had to depart early in the morning each day and they were very accommodating to open the kitchen early for us.

Had dinner here twice during our stay in Burford. Both evenings were warm, so we ate outside in the very pleasant garden. Great staff, great food.

Stayed here for the night whilst on business in the area and will be back again. So much character & history in one building & right in Burford. Beautiful gardens outside. Lovely large rooms, great beds. Staff friendly & helpful.

We had a 2 night stay (me and the dog). I found the room excellent standards, Very comfy large bed with feather or duck down duvet and pillows. Very clean. Amazing rainfall shower with great pressure and very hot. However no fridge (luckily only 2 nights as I was with my dog and feed her raw but I'm more than sure if asked they would accommodate)
I didn't realise breakfast was included... bonus! It was 'continental' (cereals, toast, croissants) I don't remember what else as the croissants were amazing with the available marmalade (there were also jams and honey) err I also had the full English (was great except I'm a sucker for beans and they weren't there) I will state that it is 5 star in my opinion even though I didn't eat the steak dinner due to it being over salty but as a hospitality host I know chefs do love the salt, I offered to pay but they refused outright which is amazing to see! Great outdoor space and of course dog friendly throughout ?
Close proximity to Didly Squat and the Wildlife Park. Great walking area too in a quaint little village.
Will definitely be returning!!!

The stay was ok, rooms were not bad (room2) the bed was very comfy. When we arrived we were educated with the breakfast process, slightly frustrating as when we booked it stated that breakfast was included however that was cereals and toast only. We were told that there would be fresh pastries, bread etc however there were no pastries, no brown bread. The dining room was quite dirty, last nighta dinner on the floor including napkins etc. Not overly impressed with the stay, thankfully it was a cheap stay local to where we went for dinner the night before. Don't think we will be back again however.

I brought my second tour of international visitors to the Lamb this weekend. Another 10/10 visit. Excellent rooms, a wonderful friendly service, and exquisite dinner and breakfast throughout. The best place in Burford!

Great location and the staff were good but like many services today people don't tend to know their products. We decided to have roast beef lunch. We noticed that there were no parsnips with the meal, so we ordered a side as we asked the question, does it come with parsnips. The answer was no, and when the meal turned up, it had parsnips. I know this seems petty, but apart from parsnip overload, we both think that what if you had an allergy would this establishment cater for you or just forget. Without pulling the dinner completely apart, I did expect more quality for the price, but I will let you decide from the photos. I thought the roast potatoes and vegetables were overdone.
