About the hotel: 1) The lighting in the rooms is a bit low. 2) The fan may not be enough during hot periods.
About the restaurant: Breakfast was excellent and also the dinner was very tasty, offering many tapas selections.
Overall, the hotel is very charming and the staff super friendly!

An old building on the main street of Burford so location excellent but no dedicated parking. As a place to stay, we cannot recommend it because of the issues surrounding such an old building. Check-in was easy on-line so there was little fuss on arrival. Our room, (Sorrow) was aptly named, being on the second floor and accessed by awkward stairs. The room itself was very small and this was made worse because it had a king size bed. No wardrobe or drawer space, just four hangers on two wall pegs. A nice shower unit but fitted at the expense of room for a decent hand basin.
Breakfast was a strange affair with only two types of fruit juice and water available for self service. Food was via a menu where each item was priced and you could order to a £25 limit. Food quality was good. All very polite at breakfast but lacking warmth.

Great...Great food. We had vegetarian. Didn't stay here. Just had lunch. Don't miss if you are in Burford.

Absolutely beautiful, clean rooms and the bed was one of the comfiest I've experienced. Loved the access to the pantry for coffees, small treats and other drinks.
Breakfast was very tasty and good portion sizes, we were unfortunately too late for dinner but based on breakfast and looking at the menu I would say it would have been very good.
Staff were all extremely friendly.
Great location on the high street.
Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Cotswolds.

Stayed here for my birthday time away with my partner. Nice touch on arrival with a happy birthday note and chocolates on the bed. The bedroom and en suite bathroom is perfect and the bed was very comfy. The breakfast in the morning way great. The shared pantry for guests with free hot drinks, soft drinks and cake was a nice touch and convenient. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming! Would definitely stay here again :)

Highly recommend. We had a selection of tapas bits, which was divine.
It was so good, we might go back tonight.
P.s We went back for more amazing food. Big shout out to the lovely staff who served us. I've attached some more photos.

Fabulous tapas for lunch today! We sat in the back courtyard which was a sun trap. It was like being on holiday!! We ordered our food/drinks and they came shortly after. The tapas were amazing; all were fresh, flavourful and well presented. Compliments to the chefs!! It?s dog friendly and they have our little pooch a water bowl.

We had the Silver room, which was one of the,if not the biggest rooms. Unfortunately, due to our little dog not liking the noise due to the traffic,we had to change to a room at the back (Health) which was still very nice. The staff were so helpful, accommodating, and understanding and could not do enough to help. The breakfast choice and quality is outstanding, and we will definitely be back without the dog this time,so we can enjoy all of the facilities. Parking is on the high street, but don't let that put you off. There is plenty of space to park.

A perfect stay in Burford for a weekend trip to the Cotswolds. The rooms are perfectly appointed and surprisingly sound proof. The rooms on the upper floor do get warm but that is to be expected in the summer. We had dinner at Toro and breakfast at Bull; each meal was made to perfection.

A Proper Gem in Burford
The Spanish-style roast is packed with flavour, and the tapas are just brilliant ? think crispy calamari, punchy chorizo, and perfectly cooked patatas bravas. Great food, relaxed vibe, and right on our doorstep. What more could you want?

Had an amazing time taking over the majority of the hotel. Food was excellent, service even better the only issue being I couldn't stay for longer (and forgot to get my free birthday drink)!!!! Will definitely be back!

Great location and the building was full of character and quirkiness. The rooms were comfortable and the location is perfect for the high streets shops, pubs and cafes. The slight disappointments were no tv in our room and our room had such poor lighting making it impossible to get ready to go out. We found this in our friends rooms too. The cupboard room on the landing, for teas and coffees, was very well laid out but you cant beat your own tea making facilities in your own room. Much easier for that early morning cuppa. Lets end on a high because our breakfast was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive.

We booked a table here early evening midweek in their wonderful Toro Restaurant.
The tapas that we ordered was of a good standard and served by the most helpful and friendly people.
There is also a separate bar across the hallway which had a good ambience.
Also outdoor seating.

I loved the Highway Inn before it had its refurb, and now I think I love it even more! The room we stayed in was gorgeous and so comfortable, has everything you need. We had dinner there and the tapas was amazing! Honestly think it is the best tapas I?ve ever had. Would highly recommend the pork belly croquets, fritters and churros. All of it was delicious! The breakfast was also incredible. I think what topped it off was how amazing and lovey the staff were, they really made a difference with how honest and accommodating they were. Highly recommend and will be going back!
