Disgusted by a member of staff today. My daughter picked up a cushion and he said "for God sake" and was shaking his head, I asked my daughter if we should go somewhere else and he said " yes bye" it's not the first time this chap has been rude to customers. I will not step into that shop again

Went in there to treat the kids ageing from 4 and kids being kids wanted to pick everything up and got excited! after telling them to stop numerous of times at my disgust I saw a staff member shaking his head at us! so I told him that we were trying our best but they are children and he made a comment about the parenting! so I asked if he had children and he said no! I am appalled at this and unfortunately will not be having our custom anymore!!

Very helpful staff, efficient and confident. They clearly wanted to help me and smiled while they did so! I'll definitely shop here more often now.

The works located at 3 High St, Banbury is a lovely place to visit with your family. There are lots and lots of things available over here under one roof. The prices are cheap and staff is friendly.

The works is a great store for cheap books. from cook books to world war 2. each time i go in there seems to be something new. The works also sell craft supplys, card and canvas's. lots be discovered here. The staff always seem to be very busy and hard to pin down but when you do they are very helpful. not a big store to take a buggy in but its managable if no to busy

'The Works' in Banbury is a cheap book shop that deals also in seemingly random objects such as cheap toys, cards and other plastic objects. The shop is great for a massive discount but not really for searching for a most wanted book. Also available at 'The Works' are celebrity calenders, postcards, posters and for some reason lots of books about Steam Railways?! The shop often is very disorganised, with some items not really displayed but merely plonked down in their original packaging with the top ripped open. However, the shop is good for childrens books, big floppy paperbacks that kids love. It does seem quite a kids orientated shop actually, running all over the place whenever I've passed. The best thing about the shop is its location. The shop is situated right in the heart of the town centre, literally probably the most central shop in the town. A good shop for Christmas when you dont know what to buy for presents!
