Brilliant staff, courteous, knowledgeable & above all else personable, but we would never have met them if not for the "Ronnie the Rhino" account!As grandparents born after the war of humble parents we have paid our tax, NI, VAT etc for over 45 years & yes dealt with interest rates at 15%! So in a world so obviously beset by graft at every turn we desired to see our hard earned pennies benefit our grand children rather than see it trousered by the unscrupulous.To this end we consulted a specialist tax accountant who charges a flat fee by the hour for information. No %'s of an investment that may or may not show a profit, that you may or may not need, as recommended by so many financial advisors.I won't even attempt to explain the intricacies of HMRC rules on 'Gifting', suffice to say we required a Children's A/C that could be managed by trustees on their behalf until they came of age.After consulting numerous banks that once offered Children's accounts we turned to the building societies & at the Leeds we discovered the Ronnie the Rhino A/C. An account that is as brilliant as the staff that work at the Banbury branch - thank you. all.

I normally have a good experience here, but today, less so.I made a deposit (a sizable one), and the young man who served me, Harris, was unable or perhaps unwilling to make any eye contact with me at all. What did I do wrong, apart from supporting a building society ? I'm not impressed.
