“Decided to make our first ever stop over in Banbury with a view to taking Jorvic and Paulicarus to Oxford tomorrow. Banbury has lots of pubs to try out and the Three Pigeons took our fancy with its thatched roof, low beams, large inglenook fireplace and central location. Three rooms available. No breakfast but tea, coffee, porridge, biscuits and cakes in the room. Lovely bedroom with en-suite well sheltered from the road noise but they do overlook the beer garden should you retire early. Look out for three pigeons on the thatch! Only two real ales, if you include Doom Bar but also Warwickshire brewery Purity. Had a taster of their Gold. Free Wifi available. Arrived on Flying Ant Day! Happy hour starts at 5pm.”
