Fantastic shop, and very much improved of late. Every recent experience has been really good.
If you don't believe me, go in Cash Converters, terrible treatments of the so called manager who has absolutely no respect and shouts at you if you query his prices. (They are rip off merchants and treat you like garbage.)

In the space of two weeks, i have bought three games from this shop that have been either, scratched to the point they dont work at all or a massive snap down the middle(obvious why that wont work)
This shop has declined in quality severely
A fews years ago the staff would clean a disc for you if it had so much as a thumbprint on it before they sold it to you
And wouldnt accept games that had multiple scratches or imperfections
If i ever buy from this shop again i will be checking the discs before i even walk away from the till and id advise anyone else who goes to this shop to do the same as three discs in the space of two weeks is quite frankly, absolutely ridiculous

Where to start, miserable staff so perhaps some customer service training would help. When we arrived the staff was talking behind the counter and when they saw us approach the counter they suddenly became busy and we didn?t get served for at least 5 mins+ we took some items to trade in of our sons for him and the reception we got was terrible, no communication, certainly no customer service. Poor poor service. They was a lady behind us for at least 15 mins whilst one of the member of staff was looking at our items. The other 2, one was wrapping something in black plastic wrap and the other was bobbling about not doing much. What has happened customer service? This was terrible. We will not be returning and we will in the future use alternative apps or sites to sell things for our son in the future. Very disappointing, atmosphere 0 customer service 0

Awful service. Refused a refund on a faulty item my son purchased two days earlier. Also selling used items for more than the price is new. Staff attitudes absolutely shocking. Never ever will we use them again.

Customer service is very low, CEX staff don't seem to be happy. It was great before but now it's just getting worse. Long waiting time.

My son took his VR headset set into Banbury to sell. He was told the payment would be in his bank account within 24 hrs. It?s now 2 days. Can only contact customer services online. Not good enough. Assuming details are checked in store, why a delay?

I feel misled by this store. I took a brand new Samsung Galaxy A15 in to them. It was unopened 10 minutes before I took it in. I only took the phone out of the new box to start it up before taking into the Banbury shop.I had done my research on the CEX website before I went in and saw what they were offering for A grade phones of this model. They tested it and said it was a B grade condition.Good but not mint. I didn't argue but felt like they were being dishonest and felt let down. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this particular store which is why I felt I had to write this on a review this time.

Good games and lots to buy

Been let down by this CEX store multiple times. Purchased a NES after being told it?s been tested and works, got home to find out it didn?t work. Refunded the item hassle free but they just didn?t seem to care this happened.
Took immaculate condition ps1 games there to be told they?re not mint and would give a much discounted price for them as they had a very slight mark on the case. But in their windows they have ?mint? ps1 games with cracked cases. Cash converters offered a much better price and they?re only a minute walk away.
This Sunday we arrived at 3:45pm to be told they?re not accepting any trade in as they?re too busy labelling all their dvd trade in. Went with the intention of trading in some rare games and buying a Series X Xbox. Took the items to cash converters who were happy to buy from me and serve me.
Not sure why this store continues to provide bad service. Very disappointing.
