Beat cinnamon buns everrrr but sadly I have only had them once because they always run out before we get there sadly so go before lunch.

Major problem with wasps buzzing around , landing on our food , going into our drinks constantly the whole 45 minutes we were there , an attempt had been made to put a wasp collector hanging off the sail shade over the adjacent garden but this was full ( pretty gross trying to eat whilst staring at a big jar full of drowned wasps) and wasn't doing it's job, a more effective means of pest control needs to be put in place for the diners outside , the wasp problem really spoiled our time here.
The foot was well below par , overpriced and staff rather aloof

Hmmm. This isn't the owner's fault but I really think it should've been noticed and addressed by them.
I need to preface this with ... The café has toilets!
On arrival the place was busy but there were still lots of tables free outside.
We noticed one couple sat outside with their boy, about 3 years old. They drew our attention because the boy was in underpants and nothing else.
Maybe he's hot. It can feel muggy right now.
We went indoors to choose what we wanted to eat. I went back outside to find us a table (not easy as they were all dirty. Needed a good wipe down, especially as wasps are aplenty).
One table looked okay, and was next to the young boy, and his parents. As I sat down I noticed the boy staring at me, as they do at that age. I looked up and there he his butt naked.
The pants have now gone. And he's stood with what God gave him on full show. Facing me, and all other customers.
I looked towards the parents.
Maybe they'd not noticed.
But I was wrong. They'd removed the pants to make it easier for him to use the potty - yes you read that right. The portable potty they had opened out on the floor near their table!
This happened twice while we were there.
I don't know how the parents thought for one second this was okay. Unless they all pee/poo in buckets while having lunch.
The Dad then emptied the potty in the cafés toilets!
Now, I know this isn't the café doing this but COME ON.
It's disgusting allowing people to do it.
It wasn't hidden. It was for everyone to see when they arrived, left and walked out of the café. They were sitting right at the entrance.
It's also a child protection issue. People have phones!
Just to reiterate... the café had toilets!
The tables really needed cleaning, and the bench seats. Being busy isn't an excuse.
We won't return sadly.

A lovely bakery/cafe/post-office serving great coffee and delicious pastries. A decent breakfast/brunch menu. Newspapers available to buy from the post-office make it feel cosy

We had the avocado on toast with poached eggs, and the chorizo & sweet potato hash. Both exceptionally cooked, I've taken a few pointers for the hash when I make it at home!

Lovely food, very popular. I do like this cafe, and do go regularly. Only improvements to be made are to get more tills to cope with the queues as the queues are noisy and oppressive when queuing next to your table. Staff should stop talking to each other when customers are stood at the till waiting to place an order.

Been here several times now and the coffee is great. Some of the staff, however, are at best unfriendly and today two of them were unforgiveably rude. Manners cost nothing and I didn't appreciate being snapped at when they'd forgotten our food order. We won't be visiting anymore.

Another gem ? - By chance we found this place passing through and it was b-e-autiful. Banging chicken, avo sourdough sandwich, washed down with a vibrant cappuccino. Sitting outside on a stunning spring day is the perfect recipe for afternoon lunch. Will definitely come back!
