Arrived for lunch on a weekday. Ordered buttermilk chicken burger which included a side of French fries. Portion size of main meal was small given the price. Apple & Rhubarb Crumble with a side of warm custard for dessert was very good quality and tasteful.

Got told the 3 specials to then find out they were all out of them. Asked for water 3 times. Really poor service which was disappointing especially after coming with friends. No atmosphere, no music. Waitress didn?t seem to know what she was doing. Food was okay. Got told about the pork and wasn?t on the menu anymore.

Sunday 22 December 2024 my first visit here, we had just come from seeing Wicked at the local cinema. It was 4pm so not over busy, a real bonus! The waitress was lovely and friendly and took a real interest in our excitement over the film. We were not rushed. The space looked really nice, festive, and it was a cosy temperature. We both ordered the pork roast dinner... the waitress said it was delicious, and she was correct. Everything on the plate was cooked just right with plenty of gravy!!!! I would definitely go back. Congratulations to The Broadface on getting it right.

Could not fault the food or service, excellent range of ales, Will was attentive and very helpful. Went on a quiet weekday evening which was perfect for having a nice long chinwag over pies and mash.

Great pub. Nice friendly vibe, good selection of beers and ciders, clean, warm, no TVs, good music. I didn?t eat any food but figure it must be ok.

We came here as it was a mid way meeting point for my Dad's birthday. We really enjoyed it and they even came out with a little decorated birthday plate when we hadn't even told them.

Party of six. Roast dinners fabulous with lots of veg. Cauliflower cheese was wonderful. Fish and chips and mushy peas delightful. Dog friendly. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Service a little slow but that suited us as a family father with time to talk. Definitely will be back. Thanku for a lovely afternoon.

Historic ambience, crowded but not too loud, generous portions, something for everyone. Meat pie and chips were the best I have ever had.

All the food ordered was delicious. Very generous with the servings too. The lady who was serving us was wonderful, very attentive throughout. First visit, but definitely won't be the last.
