Probably the best charity shop in Abingdon. Good selection of items at a reasonable cost including a good library of 2nd hand books. Staff are friendly and helpful. There?s a toy selection at the back and also a 20p toy box of random kids things too. Found some bargains here over the years.

It was such a pleasure to meet Helena and the team on the weekend, I was made to feel so very welcome in an otherwise distanced social climate (think COVID). The traffic light system works a treat, and I felt super comfortable shopping in H&D Abingdon ? Thank you for the biscuit and I?ll see you all next weekend, especially Purdey ? xXSide note, this is the cheapest charity shop in the shire! ??

Popped in there to drop off a few unwanted items (a few Chritmas presents) and found the shop to be a real little gem. Lisa (better-half) has bought a couple of little things from there. They even have their own little book/library area and a coffee machine (small charge) if you want to take your time picking a book or simply have a bit of a read. Well worth popping in to see what they have hidden on their shelves.

Much loved and supported by Jeremy Clarkson this charity is very close to my heart. Beautifully and caringly laid out, nice balance of everything from Bric a brac to handbags. Small but great selection of clothes. Whole bookcases of books and a helpful chair or two to sink into and have a read if you like in the style of old fashioned book shops. Friendly polite and helpful staff.

This is the best charity shop in abingdon. the staff are so friendly and helpfull. i love the book area , where you can take a peek at the books before you buy. The toy section at the rear of the store is well stocked and contains some real treasures. My son is sure to find something cool each time we visit. well worth a look. A shop you dont feel rushed or watched in.

This lovely charity shop really is one of the best charity shops you will ever go into. The staff are so nice and couldn't be more helpful as its just not possible. I've had some wonderful bargains here over the last year or so. You can find the shop at the traffic lights on the main road going out of the town centre on the left hand side. Its quite a big shop with nice old style windows. The windows always look really well done displaying lots of nice clothing and nik naks Its nice to be able to go into a shop and ask if you are looking for something in particular some of the charity shops don't like you asking but here they are really helpful

The Helen & Douglas House shop is the nicest charity shop in Abingdon. It's spacious and well laid out so that it doesn't feel cramped or crammed. They have a lovely second hand book area, with plenty of shelving and a small seating area, so you can sit and have a good look through your books before you decide to buy them. There's also a small selection of videos and DVDs. The front half of the shop is mostly devoted to homewares; the back of the shop to clothes and children's toys. They also sell some branded Helen & Douglas House merchanise for those people who really want to support the charity. It's even inviting from the outside - with a lovely shop front and a colourful and regularly changed window display.

This is the best charity shop in Abingdon! It has only recently been opened, and I was very impressed when I popped in for a look. They have all the usual charity shop products - books, clothes, jigsaws, toys, bric a brac, and promotional stuff for the helen house hospice that they support. They also have an area with sofas and a coffee machine where people can browse the books at their leisure and decide what they want to buy, which I think is a lovely idea. Altogether a really nice charity shop.
